Are mazapatec a slow strain as my casing has been incubating for 2 week and the mycel has only just broke through..whilst my j.a and cambos are fruiting..
Are they just slow as fuck???

Yes. I don't know what J.A. are, but Cambos are pretty much the fastest colonizing most bad ass agressive strain of cubensis there is. I have heard of them colonizing a whole pile of compost in only a few days. Mazatapec's on the other hand produce one of the better, more visual trips but they are slow colonizers. Sorry =(. Try growing some Lipa Yai's or Equador. Both are very stable, the lipa's are potent and a fast colonizer if you work them right. EQ"s are just average. At least you have something fruiting!

By J.A. he means the Allen strain which like the Cambodian strain is also a very aggressive colonizer. Mazatapec do tend to colonize slower but are definitely worth the wait !

And just to confuse matters (it's a tradition in these forums  )  I've always found maz to be one of the fastest of colonizers.. I thought it was well known for its speedy growth. The only thing it's slow at is fruiting. It generally seems to take 5-7 days longer for pins to appear than with other strains I grow..

my friend says that Mazzy is one of the slower colonizers, if not the slowest. But he says the results are fun fun!
