LSD PSYCHOTHERAPY by Stanislav Grof (THE best book on understanding Trips)
PiHKAL + TiHKAL books by Alexander Shulgin (read the 2nd parts @ Erowid)

Don't recall the URL but there's a thing called the Psychedelic Library outthere full of online books.

This one isn't really about psychedelics, but it's an old favourite of mine:

Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance: An Inquiry into Values

by Robert M. Pirsig

It's about metaphysics, not at all (or not very much) about zen or motorcycle maintenance, but a very good and captivating read. The author describes, among other things, how he becomes literally crazy in his quest for the Truth. No psychedelics, but in his next book ("Lila") he mentions a peyote ceremony that he participated in, so he was obviously experienced (as if it didn't show in the first book).

the hashish club vol. 1 & 2 are collections of 'drug lit' from over the years from james to ginsberg to leary.

the electric kool aid acid test

LSD the private sea and the search for god (good intro for philosophic inquiry)

LSD the problem solving drug (this is an essay, I think on erowid that deals with the philosophic problems that tripping seems to solve)

the true believer by eric hoffer. this isn't about drugs, it's about the dangers of taking yourself (your ideas) seriously.
