Shipping Fireworks
    #16575684 - 07/23/12 05:36 PM (11 years, 6 months ago)

I know companies ship fireworks, but what about friend to friend?
My question isn't the legality.
People ship pot, chems, foods and other things with smells
but I wonder if people successfully send fireworks?

I mean if you took in a package you were sending from one state to another and you dropped it off at at the post office would there be any precautions you should take? If its not going through customs like when going over international borders will there. E any chance of it getting detected? (Given they are packaged nice and neat wrapped up as to not spill any contents)

Probably one of the dumbest things I've ever done.

I obviously understand its ILLEGAL. that's not my question.
The law also prohibits use of psilocybe containing mushrooms and growing them.
Obviously the point here isn't if they're legal, but rather is it easy to do.
So the answer you're giving me is very vague and I can't tell if its your attempt at answering my question or just your stating your opinion on the law.

But from my guess since you havbt expresses your experience with doing what I'm asking about you don't know if its possible or not.

Illegal shit gets sent through the mail all day and everyday. Some easier than others. I just need to know If this is one of those things. If you don't have a solid answer fine.

Bad idea, sure it can be done, however in doing so your committing a serious federal felony.

Drugs, yes shipped all the time, most make it, some get confiscated and depending on the district, a controlled delivery and a bust will ensue.

Sure guns and ammo are shipped by manufacturers and they do so legally following all guidelines so as to be in compliance with the feds.

Shipping fireworks as benign as it may seem to you will be taken very seriously by the agency that finds them.  In fact, they will take it so seriously that unless your of the unibombers caliber of shipping it anonymously they will find you and you will go to federal prison for anywhere from 10-30 years.

Is it worth it?  I am going to guess at a no.

So what your asking is for someone to tell on themselves for shipping fireworks? Or maybe for someone to outline a plan for you to ship them?  I don't think that anyone here is going to want to help you do this, unless, of course, they are trolling.

You already have your response, the guy that did admit to shipping them knows it was not his intellectual zenith.

Good luck mang, looks like your really going to need it.

Drugs = Small

Fireworks = Big

The bigger it is the harder it is to hide, you cant compare shipping them.

Example.

Ive recieved many mail drugs from around the world with a 100% success rate , but everytime ive tried to order outers of smokes they get seized, why? Because of the size of the package

Why even bother trying?  You can just buy fireworks legally most places.  I can't fathom why this would even be worth attempting unless you want to ship a LOT, and as already mentioned, the more you're sending the more likely you are to get caught.

As much as the man hates drugs, he hates getting blown-up even more.  If caught it will be taken VERY seriously.  Even if there is only a 1% chance of getting caught, is it really worth it?

I love fireworks too.  I would consider an 8-hour road trip to get them if that were my only option.

What exactly are you trying to get?  Most of the best stuff isn't exactly cheap, or light.  Shipping is going to cost you.

And again, it's just a really bad idea.  Explosives are number one on the list of searched-for contraband in the mail.  If you do it you are just rolling the dice with your freedom.

Just look for a fireworks club in your area.  Don't try to mail them.

Lol my "area" only allows fireworks that don't explode don't go more than five feet in the air or move more than 10ft on the ground. I don't have the gas money, the money for the fireworks or money to eat on the long ass trip iit'd take to do this.

My point isn't I know I'd get caught but I still got to try
I don't KNOW that driving is my only option and if I did Id wait and do it

I made this thread to find out if anyone has, has heard of, knows somebody who either has unsuccessfully sent fireworks or successfully sent them.

Not legality, morals, theories.

In my mind its a huge risk to send marijuana through mail but most here would say it could be done safely and shouldn't be too hard. That's likely said through experience.
All I'm asking is have you or someone you know ever even heard of people doing it or getting caught with it. that's it

Dude, if they have explosive residue tests at airports, what makes you think on the scale you want to do (let alone saying you dont have the funds to really buy them) they wouldnt xray or test for things like that.  Now if your friend buys them legally and repackages maybe, but unless its shade tree company, theyll have their name on the sender portion of package.

Save your cash, make the trip(preferably with more people to share the cost) and bring it back that way.  Or just make your own fireworks like say...sparkler + fertilizer...  You get the idea.

If money is that big of a concern perhaps you should look into bettering your situation before you go after a box of shiny sparkley stuff that goes boom boom?

Just a thought and a word and that word is "priorities", again the best of luck to you.

My priorities are fine.
Would you make an 8hour trip for a food you liked? When you could have it shipped to you? For much cheaper?
The problem is my priorities are in too good of standing for me to justify driving 8hours over a state border to get something for a hobby.
So I am looking for an easy FREE way of getting what I want.

How about reading my post.. I am not asking for your opinion. I'm asking for experience. Lol

How about thinking about what your doing?

Having food shipped would be perfectly legal in most cases.

Yes, I would drive 8 hours, both ways, to get something that I like, but I like road trips. I would not however have something shipped to me that would land me in the slammer for 30 years, but that is just me.

Seems like your just beating a dead horse here.  You say your priorities are fine, yet you want to risk a 30 year prison stretch to get some shiny boom booms, I usually am not one to judge, but this I would say is not the sign of someone with mad critical thinking skills.

Save your money, and then drive down and get your shiny sparkley boom boom sparkely pow pows.

You're not understanding man.
I have yet to get an answer.
My question is not the legality.
My question is evidence that people are getting caught shipping fireworks?
I understand the law would give years for this kind of thing, but they would also give years for possession of marijuana,  so quit focussing on the law and answer the question
If you cannot I really don't get your point of returning here..

My question hasn't been answered, so this is not beating a dead horse. Your answer is just as factual as hearsay. I wouldn't waste an 8hour trip on a meal just like I wouldn't waste an 8hour trip on fireworks.

I am not "doing" anything. I am asking if someone has experience with shipping fireworks. If your answer is no, fine.. your input has lost all value to me. If you know someone who has then maybe you can help but you don't. You just know its against the laws, which I have to say to you.. I know and that is not the question so please move on.

I have no intention on paying for anything. All packages that would hypothetically be shipped would be free (priorities don't allow me to pay for pleasure) so "saving money and waiting" isn't in the plan.

You don't know who has even seen this thread man.
What If people who actually ship fireworks on a regular basis don't come to the forum during this part of the week or month.
It takes time for people to see a post.
You can't always expect results in a couple of days.

Ill mark a tally caught vs not caught

Any person who can confirm a friend/family menber/ someone they met once was caught and taken to jail for it will count... how is that for confirmation bias? So much room for anyone to give negative results.

The problem here is nobody has heard of anybody getting into trouble or else they would have posted all people here are telling me "its against the law"

I wouldn't ship them normal mail. You'll get caught, it's ILLEGAL and very obvious.

Clean off all the outsides of the packaging, seran wrap it, bag it in a ziplock bag and put it in a box with packing peanuts then take it into Ups..

But does UPS have as much grip on the balls of security as usps
I've talked to a couple people who trade old fireworks all accross the country who say if you're sending send UPS not mail and they said its given them a 100% success rate.
Also I've watched quite a few kids and some adults/even old ass guys who love fireworks on YouTube doing unboxing videos of packages their friends sent them in the mail  that a kid has more balls to "just do it" than I do...
Seems a lot more people are getting away with it than I thought
and any that says they got caught seem to be in amounts of 10s of thousand of dollars worth in those giant storage unit things. I'm talking about a package the size of a box that can sent ten posters (rolled up) or even smaller like the size of a Nintendo 64 box =]

Looks like op is having a hard time comprehending what he is being told.

Of course if you read thru this thread you will see that he is very smart and knows all about the stuff, but is still begging for someone to tell him that they have done it, at this point I must suspect that op is either bacon (could very well be given the intelligence of his arguments), or maybe he is just waiting for someone to chime in with an I'll ship you some fireworks, or both.

Really does not matter because he will get no where with this on this board.

No one is going to ship you fireworks, your argument is pathetic, and if you do continue with this idiocy your going to get caught if your not the police and I doubt that anyone here is stupid enough to help you break the law in this way.

Get caught mailing weed = probation.  Get caught shipping explosives = very long prison term.

Even comparing the two shows how thick your being, listen very carefully to this next part.

:stanhopefacepalm:

Your and You're are two different words.
I appreciate the compliments, but still you are not getting the gist of my request. You all have simply complicated a question that could be answered with a simple yes or no it really requires no conversation or discussing.

First off, I don't see why everyone here throws the cop accusation around so frivolously. I really don't think cops are sitting around asking people to send them drugs, or fireworks, or anything illegal unless in bulk which they would likely go to the source rather than come to a discussion board. The tinfoil hats are on tight here. Hence my decision to go anon when I could have very well just used my account to post this and got better answers. Speaking of anon, how is someone going to hit me up offering to send me fireworks in anon?

Your logic is invalid tbh.
I'm not asking anybody to send me anything I have enough people who will do it considering I have solid response stating it can be done.
I'm not asking about the law.
I'm not asking if its morally just.
I'm just asking if it can be done.

You all are looking way to deep into this, why respond if you can't be productive.
I understand you all think you shouldn't do it because it's illegal, I respect that. You have said your word now can you please let me go about my business =]

If someone comes in here with solid experience doing it, knows somebody who has solid experience doing it or has links to cases where someone did it and they got caught.. ill take it for what it is and be done. But nobody has done it so I havbt got an answer so of course I am still curious. You don't have to come in here and be negative to be negative.

You can simply pass this thread, there are thousands of them go to the next one. =]

Mailing pot does not only render you probation.
Maybe in a select few locations and a select few incidents
but more often than not its lead to jail time.
which I have personally seen being a California resident

Cannot find a result on google of someone getting caught for mailing fireworks. Then again, it's not a very common thing to mail. I've mailed a huge firecracker once by hollowing out a wiimote and placing it in the battery end and I ended up fine. Your box idea could work as well. I don't think its very uncommon actually. The more and more people here act like its impossible, the more I looked into it. I've found a couple forums like this one who are actually dedicated soley to fireworks. Reading through their posts, seeing their videos, experiences. They seem to all be trading fireworks as much as people trade spore prints here.

Seems a lot of them are especially fascinated in "antique" or old school fireworks so when one Guy will find it he will trade it with another through shipping. Plus during fourth of July season lots of people have fireworks(in states they're illegal) and I highly doubt everyone of them brought them in and/or bought from some that did. Some if not just a few must have had them shipped.

Then again maybe that's why there's so little people shipping them, because everyone just assumes its impossible.

But the farther along I go with this thread the only results I can fond are positive ones.
Not all postal services open/check/ scan/look through/swab for explosives/assume packages have explosives in them. Its just a knee jerk response =\

Still willing to accept back experiences though so please feel free to post if you have them

Thank you 14 for your contribution 2:0

My experience is that you are an idiot. Go to these other forums and peddle your nonsense, we don't want it.

Aren't you the asswipe who sent firecrackers in the mail?
You're telling me I'm the idiot?
According to yours an the majority of this threads logic you are more likely an idiot than I , you went through with the same thing you're all banning together telling me not to?

Have you all not looked at this website?
The majority of the activity here is asking advice on how to properly get away with illegal activity. Why not go around and tell them the same shit you're telling me.

"NO!!! MUSHROOMS CAMT GROW IN YOUR BEDROOM ITS AGAINST THE LAW"
"NO!!! DONT STORE LSD IN BLOTTER IT MAKES IY HARDER FOR THE COPS TO FIND IT"
"NO!!! DONT GROW AND EXTRACT SAN PEDRO CACTUS! YOURE COMITTING A CRIME!"
"DONT SMOKE POT!!! ITS A SCHEADULE 1 SUBSTANCE! THAT MEANS ITS ADDICTIVE!"

really after constant instruction you can't comply with this thread, you have deemed yourself retarded by your actions and as part of this community I don't want you or your negativity here so leave go to 4chan or go be an asshole In OTD I'm sure they would love you.

6 I understand this is stupid, just like smoking pot, just like buying drugs from a dealer, drinking alcohol under 21, talking on the phone while driving

Take your Christian morals to another thread and let Ms ask my questions

I'm not asking anybody to help me do anything
by my guess I'd guess that 14 or whatever is #3's puppet.

Seems he came in here knowing it was safe to ship fireworks and then saw the tone of the group and would be flamed for having a successful experience so changed his tone
