A method: Is it contaminated or just bluing?
    #1657514 - 06/24/03 02:52 AM (13 years, 5 months ago)

Sometimes, we all get confused with bruised mycelium or green mold. Here is a good method to help you identify.

MAIA said it best:

Grab a Q tip or cotton piece, soak it with some h2o2 and rub the possible infected area. If it is a contam, the contam spores will get attached to the piece, if nothing comes out then it should be bruising which is normal.

How much pressure should be applied tho? I think if you apply to much pressure to any color'd spot wouldn't color rub off?

Minimal pressure is enough to make this test.
