Ive had to kill three on my front porch so far this year. Mostly due to not wanting one building a web where ill walk into it. Plus i didnt want to harvest some mint or herbs and get bit. Already had a dangerous bite when i was young....dont want another.
My best friend had to bug bomb the underside of his trailer due to there being an infestation of them. I concur theyre out in force this year!

In the south, a lot of homes have these spiders (Brown Recluse). They tend to gravitate towards areas that aren't likely to be disturbed, like barns, garages (that are used for storage). Inside homes they like being under furniture that never gets vacuumed and in closets, etc. Lucky for me, my house does not have any of those. I have come across maybe 4 black widow spiders since I have lived in my own house. I took one that was living behind the gas grill out to the end of the road and put it in the ditch. Couple weeks later I found the same (or a totally different one) living in the arm of a folding chair by my outside table. I decided to kill it. I didn't want to, but I don't want to accidentally disturb one and be bitten. I spend a lot of time on my back patio.
If you do have brown recluse spiders, the best thing you can do is lay down glue traps in cabinets and closets and keep your house free of clutter.

I have seen 2 trailer parks this year infested with brown recluse already. They supposedly die every winter here but last winter I do not think killed them. They give me the fucking creeps almost everywhere I sit or anything I pick up has one.
I'd have moved out of state by now if I were you.

christ on a bike I just looked and apparently we have black widows too I knew we had brown recluse's, I've encountered a good number of them, actually. This is only proof we are not polluted enough, I will not sleep easy until everyone here glows in the nighttime and all spiders are gone.

yeah IDK I mean I'm not a spider recognition expert, but always at summer camp the advisers would warn us to make sure the lean 2's were clear of spiders because the little fuckers liked to hide out in there all the time. We saw loads of them in our lean 2's. Well, we saw brown spiders, not positive it was recluses, but I doubt the camp advisers would lie about such a thing.

I think its a type of immature black widow just wondering which variety. I see these more than the black ones. I just found this one today and got rid of a few hundred of them in my neighbors garage.
Not even close to a black widow, its most likely if not definitely harmless, reminds me of Steatoda triangulosa, don't take this as a definitive id.

I was visiting my family in Cali and im one to catch stuff in jars. Well after turning over this small kids toy I found 4 big black widows and carefully put them in the jars. Kept them as pets and brought them back to Washington. They ended up dieing, probly too cold
Edit: figure I would add the spider thats been taking care of the insects on the front porch European Garden Spider

those are all over my house come summertime. outside, thankfully. take a spotlight out at midnight and shine it around the house, and you'll see at least 15 of them in separate webs. they're kinda spooky looking!

I saw loads of orb weaver spiders here while hunting in some swampy woods area. They're literally everywhere and creepy as hell. Id rather see the occasional giant house spider then orb weavers for sure. Also found a bunch of new alder woodchips and noticed that ants were using them to build their nest on the edge of grass. Could be an epic combination with this new Cyan LC im trying out.

Some slight pixalation around the edges and assorted blurring makes me suspect this image is photoshopped (although the website seems legit).
Just saying.
That kind of distortion happens when jpegs get transferred to web sites and such. It's normal. I posted a pic once and got accused of shooping it but nope, just the web hosts re-rendering it.
