Panhandling is annoying, both to do and to have done to you....

simple solution, if you're traveling or something, or out on the road with no cash, take a guitar with you or do something amusing for the crowds...

Panhandling becomes Busking.

Busking = cool.



To this day I always give buskers and street performers money... they're entertainers not beggars.

Yeah for the most part panhandlers are lazy addicts the rest have serious mental problems
It sounds/is mean but those attitudes or situations should not be supported imo

me and a co worker were talking about starting a tour bus for high paying asian clients who want to go in a urban safari.
only the highest of rollers will enjoy our serves. we will drive them through the dankest of city's, where there they can enjoy the luxury of shooting bum/pan handlers.

please dont email me for a brochure. tours are exclusively for high paying over seas asian business's men.

hasn't it been on dateline or some shit about how some people live in really nice houses, but dress bumish and go panhandling every day making some days up to $1000. granted, this was maybe 10 years ago i saw this, but i know i did.

Sometimes I feel like carrying around monopoly money, so when they run up and pick it up, it's just a fake bill.  Or have ones that look real printed out but after you unfold them, they say "Try Busking, not Begging" kind of like those gay mormon dollars.

As long as I'm not directly and constantly harassed -- I couldn't care less what someone else does to earn their income. Though, I will agree with the performance statement. If you're going to panhandle, have some kind of act that you're actually getting paid for. Just don't look pitiful, if you really aren't.

I will almost always give food or drink to someone who has swallowed their pride enough to ask for it and it's always a really good feeling when you can tell that something as small as a dollar menu cheeseburger can change someones day completely.
It's also really frustrating when you can tell someone is just full of shit. A man had a sign that said, "Needs $$$ for food and shelter, please help" and I happened to have about 300+ mini sub sandwiches that I was planning on donating so I stopped to give him a few sandwiches to which he said, "no thanks, i'm only accepting money." I was stunned at his attitude. 
But those assholes just looking for a fix shouldn't stop everyone from helping out people who may really need the help. Some people are professional panhandlers while others really just genuinely need a little help.

i feel like even if they are "professional beggars," what ever that means, they would still accept the free food but maybe not eat it if they are not hungry or worried about being poisoned or some shit. its bad enough to not accept a gift, its pathetic to beg for it and not accept it.

The problem is a lot of people are just looking for their next fix, or their next drink, not just a small few in a handful.  Then there are the people who fell from having everything handed to them, where they feel society should help them out in everyway possible.  They'll be on foodstamps, unemployment and panhandling. If they've got time to panhandle while getting money and food from the government, shouldn't they be trying to get hired at a local job?  There's this one guy in our town who fakes a limp/injury when he's panhandling, but I've seen him walking normally down the street before.  I've seen this same guy panhandling in front of a store that had a "Now Hiring" sign on it.

Even felons can manage to get a job, what's up with that?

yea idk if i could get free money and food stamps, i probably would continue doing that. lol work sucks and i can't get food stamps because i make too much money at work.

Besides the fact that most of these people are drug addicts and alcoholics that are spending the money on nothing good, most of them are mentally ill. We live in a country where these people are not medicated and treated. They are extremely ill people who lack the ability to help themselves because their minds are so fucked.
