Hi everyone
Been raining here alot for the last week, Decided to go out for another little funky fungas mission, went to my regular spot and found alot of mushys that look to be the usual Pan Cyans that i find but...
Since its been rainging here ALOT they were full on water that isnt the problem at the moment but will excessive water in the mushroom delay or effect the bluing effect. I have harvested mushrooms out of the exact same Cow Pasture before and they had EXCessive blueing but these didnt blue that much if not at all...
It was late at night when i got home so i decided to just chuck them ontop of my computer case to dry out of a bit only thing is by the time i woke up they were completely dry so its really hard to tell if some of them have any dark bruising.
The real big ones that are in the following photo did bruise blue but some of them are really hard to tell when dry. Im trying to decide weather to keep the others or not.
Im nearly 100% sure these are my regular Pan Cyans friends that i usually find in my patch but they are definaltly disguising their friendly attributes a bit more than last time i picked them.
Anyways guys im gonna do things by the book.
Dark purplish/black gills.
Long stem
Some white in colour with little bit of brown on the top of the cap. Found in cow pastures
hard to tell if some of them bruised blue because of excessive water logging at the time.
If these are my usually Cyans that will it still be worth chomping these buggers down dry even if i cannot 100% tell their blueing.
I have split the obvious and the non obvious up into to sections.

I can't see any bruising in your pics, but ill take your word for it. The ones that are not bruising are probably an inactive species, like antillarum.

In-actives bro... It ain't the season to be picking.

Temps are way too cold though.

Theres a pretty good chance they are all Panaeolus cyanescens. The pics are ambiguous.

i can see blueing on the biggg meaty one, the other inactive pans dont really resemble cyans all that much, the tan centre fading to white on the cap fringes screams cyans, antillarums etc really stay all white all over, if they were growing of manure i would be happy to call them cyans, but atleast definatley pans, so they wont kill you afaik. Obv wait for TI but i think you found what you were looking for

The temps doesnt really seem to matter with my patch. Ive been finding active both Cubensis and Pan Cyans over the last 3 weeks. and the temps havent been over 22 here lately.
Just picked at least 80 Pan Cyans all active showing blue from the exact same spot as i picked these. Will post some pictures tomorrow Stay posted.
