Abundancy of Mushes
    #1654202 - 06/22/03 08:10 PM (13 years, 5 months ago)

Its been raining here for over a week, and there are shrooms all over my neighborhood, can someone explain some of these lingo terms so i can better understand "bruising" what is a sign of a good shroom in relation to bruising, and also what are some various signs about the skirt or coloration. The ones in my front yard are large and white, with brown tips, and there are another variety or two growing in mulch under bushes, i dunno what to look for to make sure or i woulda had a few stomach fulls already.

Dude, first of all, NEVER eat mushrooms if you don't know what they are. Secondly, you really need to do some research of your own. Take a look around the "Finding Mushrooms" section of The Shroomery. The sticky threads in this forum also have a lot of useful information. Good luck!

Peace,

RebelSteve

Well i read the red tagged thread at the top, and read john's guide to cubensis, im doing a spore print or whatever its called, and ima report what color print is, as far as me describing the shrooms, they have a nob on top like the one on top your avatar's shroom's head, and they are white except for that nob which is brown in a broken star kinda shape

First of all, where do you live.

Also you should stay away from pretty much all white mushrooms.

[s/he] should stay away from all mushrooms that don't come from a legitimate market if [s/he] can't put a lot more energy into research...

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it.
If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

FFS...

1. They're called mushrooms. Not mushes, not mushies, not mush, not trippy shroomz, not b00merz.
2. Read this. All of it.

I think they are Actually the worst possible ones. They are really really large Amanita Virosa, or so they appear. I need to research the smaller orangish/brown ones cause they may be active, but those could be the bad ones that spore print purple and are inactive and poisonous, its all gravy, i shouldnt worry anyone, as i stated i wont eat anything unless im positive.
