Lest you think the Swam is merely a hippie poseur and not the real deal, enclosed is a picture of my busmobile circa 1978.

That is Swami Sr. seen smiling in the doorway. He thought that I was crazy to live and travel in my RV. He became a convert after our voyage to Yosemite. We had a blast and got to meet all kinds of interesting people. The Silver Bullet was a real conversation piece.

Busmobile = p1mp

Insert an "I think" mentally in front of eveything I say that seems sketchy, because I certainly don't KNOW much. Also; feel free to yell at me.

Actually, I never even went to a Grateful Dead Concert until I was *gasp* 36 (and only cuz a friend dragged me). Notice the lack of psychedelic color scheme and flowers on the bus - maybe I am a poseur after all. :frown:

Naw. Paid $2000 plus put in about $5000 and I lived in it for 5 mostly rent-free years, then sold it for $6000 and became more "respectable". Either I grew up or got old - not sure which.

Busmobile = p1mp
Yeah, Strump - it was definitely the scoremobile. Chicks totally dug it. The inside was pure class. All carpentry was redwood with a full kitchen and an elevated queensize bed over the rear wheelwells with speakers built into the headboard.

hehe, and that's a might big bus too...
Now I'm curious as hell about Swami's past.
And there's an air of mystery about him to,
he doesn't mention too much about his past,
just enough to stay enigmatic. Swami, is
that the "erasing personal history" method
ala Casteneda ? :wink:

Just took so many drugs that I can barely remember personal history without the aid of photographs. :smile:

He was a long-distance runner before his knees blew out. 5' 5", 135 lbs -has about 40 trophies. Ran a sub-6 minute 10K at 57. Got a picture somewhere of him in his 60s with washboard abs. Very cool dude.

On his 74 birthday last week, we was getting into the ocean in Florida (sclorch's neighborhood) when a hammerhead shark swam within 15 feet of him. He just waited a few minutes till the shark was out of sight then swam two miles. He has more balls than I have!

None taken, just like to plug my genetic lineage. His mom passed last year at 96. She was never in a hospital except for childbirth and the last two months of her life.

my dad lived in a van for about a year :frown: twas
awful seeing him live like that, in a space bout 4 ft by 8ft.
He didn't have an apartment or anything. It wasn't
by choice. Sucked.
But I'm going off topic here, sorry.
