Wher is Manatee County in FL. Is it around the Bradenton/Sarasota areas? If it is, there was major flooding there earlier today...a lot of houses were damaged. I have a friend in Sarasota who told me that the shrooms there have been popping up non stop though!

That should have read as Manatee Country not Mantee County.

Northern Pinellas county is full of shrooms. Last night was really dark, but I still managed to find 11 or 12 just walking around in the pitch black. I have a warning for people going to look in the flooded fields... Becareful of floating fire ant nests!!! When there homes get flooded, they all get together like a big raft of ants and boy if you step anywhere near them they go NUTS!!! And fire ant bites suck big time.

if they are in your front yard I doubt they will be active- but I think GG is finding actives in local yards, not sure...
