Dont think that to have cacti means they have to be in full swelltering sun all day long ..Torches and pedro like only a few hours direct sun and the rest from diffused light to grow blemish free and beautiful..The higher the ph scale the more frosty they will get also....

Same big momma with a few of my graft collection...I have about 15 different grafts I have collected over the last year and plan to add...Not sure what some of them are but I just recieved my copy of Guide to cacti and succulents...Give me time man!!!!! I also have about 20 baby torches that have been grown from seed...I do have few lophs that are grafted...

i thought that a high ph also promoted rot? and yes taht is a beautiful cactus

you will find it more inviting for some fungus' to thrive in a higher PH but the porous soil and CLAY IS A MUST help ensure that they dry quikly...Plastic pots are the number one cause of rot....
