it seems to me that tripping with young children in the house is a little irresponisble, but what does MY opinion matter?

I agree if you are alone w/ the kids but if u have back-up in the house it shouldn't be a problem. I'm not saying right in front of ur kids, I'm just saying in the same house.

Wouldn't it be strange to give birth while tripping?

Still, kids probably think somethings up. You naturally are just different on shrooms or tripping. People just have trouble pin pointing it.

What if your kid breaks his arm or swallows some poison..and you're tripping? C'mon, tripping with kids in the house is irresponsible.

Im kinda with paradis on this one, unless I was to tell someone i was tripping, they wouldnt know. Why is it acceptable to drink alcohol in a home with children, but no tripping? I see NO problem with tripping after the child is in bed, or the parenting responsibilities are done for the day. Just no Big doses where somethign bad could happen, 4g or less unless another sitter for both you, and the kids was present.

I'm a hell of a lot less likely to be loud and obnoxious on shrooms than when I'm shit faced on alcohol. I do agree that you should have a backup... since if you're under the influence of alcohol, you won't be afraid to call 911 during an emergency whereas on mushrooms you might be. Of course, that's not a morality thing - it's a result of the stigma society has placed on "illegal" drugs.

Sure, its acceptable to drink infront of kids, but its not really acceptable to get drunk.

Its funny advocates of illegal drugs compare them to the legal "demon drugs that ruin families and are the evil destructors of society" alcohol and tabacco. Why would anyone want more "evil society destroying drugs" out there, its a bad comparison, yet i make it too.
Anyways, that was just a pointless thought.
I know when i was a kid i was exposed to parents who had a few too many beers during the hockey game, or had too much wine after the concert...they certainly wer'nt fit to be "parenting" me, Loud, obnoxious, clumsy, in pathetic states...but i came out fine....
I dont think parents tripping would adversely affect a child at all.

It is acceptable to drink alcohol, just as it is to eat mushrooms. Both are normal things that kids would think nothing of. But to be under the effects of either one or anything really is not. I think as long as you're 'off duty' you can trip. This works in every situation, for all ages. When you have to be responsible for anything, work, kids, school, w/e dont be drugged up.
Parenting is abit different since kids are so important and technically you're never off duty. I'd say its better to make sure they're not in the house if both parents will be tripping in the house also, especially on a high dose. I think its better to get a baby sitter or something and just leaving, or getting someone to take care of the kids out of the house if thats where you wanna be. This might not apply to every family since every family works different and things change with the childs age...

yeah, it's just an all around better idea to take the kids to grandma's house or some shit, just one of the many things you SHOULD do when using a hallucinogen a precaution to add to the long list

Hey, parents need their kicks too. I don't see anything wrong with having a little mushroom experience, as long as the kids are not subjected to it.

It think kids should not be exposed to parents tripping but parents should also consider safety issues. For example, if you have a one year old baby I dont think both parents should be tripping hard in the house with no one able to care for the baby. Its unlikely but there could be a break in, fire, or other freak acciedent. Would you want to know anything bad happened you your kid cuz you wanted some kicks?

Duh ever seen Trainspotting? Tripping while your kids are home is flat out irresponsible. If the kids are old enough to take care of themselves its still irresponsible. The fact is that different people act and react differently to certain situations while tripping. To say that youd be cool as a cucumber if your kid falls out of a tree and splits his head open or if some type of medical emergency arises is rediculous.
