Which plants to grow?
    #1650880 - 06/21/03 12:02 PM (20 years, 9 months ago)

Alright, I'm moving in a month to a decently sized house in about a month.

The place doesn't have much wildlife growing since the current owners I guess dont like plants or something. Well my mom wants to grow tons of beautiful plants everywhere, front back left right maybe even afew inside. I'd like to grow a bunch of 'special' plants

I'm pretty sure both of us can win

We live in Sunny South Florida

You should plant some Hawaiian Baby Woodrose seeds.

Passion flower I was thinking about but everyone seems to have trouble growing it. It just seems to die. Now normally this wouldn't be a big deal and I'd still give it a try but it even died on Mr. Green-thumb Entho :frown:

How am I suppost to get it to grow??

Cappi doesn't look like too much of a looker...
Actully its alright looking but you gotta kill it to harvest also...

I think I'm gonna plant afew HBWR.

Wild degga orange and white flower dispite what other ppl say my are semi-shade plants

Never heard of E Novo or Burgmainsa but I'll be sure to look them up.

Growing poppies, thought about datura but I dunno, it gives me a weird feeling, especially enthos... Dont want to grow pot at home since I'm trying to stay legal. Wormwood I thought about but I dunno, doesn't look like something my mom would want but I'll check, I also dunno if I would want it for anything other than just having it. Wild dagga I've been thinking about also.

btw, I'm reconsidering the cappi.

If I lived in your climate I would grow Kratom and Kava for sure... Caapi would be nice too, hell I'm sure you could grow a bunch of other ayahuasca plants (p. viridis, justicia etc) as well.

It's Brugmansia. If you're looking to grow a "special" plant that you could actually take without risking death or a trip to the hospital / police station, I'd stay the fuck away from it.

Brugmansia is a heavly hybreadlized so the flower smell, color and leaves has lot to pick from. I grow them for the flowers in chemical make up of the plant is very much like datura. Yes it can kill you just dont eat it! But what ethno- use would it have.

E Novo is lowland cocain and happens to be legal to buy/sell the seed in Canada!

I personally think the brugmansias (as well as the daturas) could have a great entheogenic use. Not on its own (I've had a few brugmansia experiences, hilarious memories, but nothing I would repeat) but as a potentiator. The Cimora potion, San Pedro and Brugmansia, has been frequantly used and seems very interesting. Just go very low on the Brugs, and you could significantly lower the Pedro dose as well, as it is a powerful potentiator of mescaline. I've smoked hashish that were prepared with some kind of datura, this is traditionally done in some Asian countries, India among others, although it does not seem very common (The stuff I had was from Afghanistan).Very interesting, but not your everyday smoke for sure.
extremely heavy and stoning.

Actually, I think it is. E.Coca is not, but the novo would probably be a better choice for many reasons, not just legal ones. But then again I'm sure you could get in trouble with your analog laws, I dont think E. novo is specifically scheduled, but it does contain cocaine so... But the seeds should be completely legal and I could guarantee you that no police officer or dea agent would ever recognize the plant. I dont think it would be too happy in Florida though.

passion flower looks real nice too, real cool looking flower.

edit: Young_but_cool, I've heard of people in india mixing like a one centameter square pice of dautra leaf in a bowl of bud for two people. Just don't go carzy with it.

although caapi might not look so perdy, once you start it going you can feel the power and energy of the plant. this is well worth it, imagine preserving a plant of such significance. these traditions need to be continued and passed down before they are lost forever.

I was thinking of growing Caapi cuz I still think they look alright but they're also expensive...I dont think I'll be growing it.

Here is my list so far:

California Poppy Seeds (maybe)

Hawaiian Baby Woodrose

Datura (maybe, and I'm not sure which kind yet)

San Pedro Cactus (not sure if i weill grow it at this house or my friends, since he has more space)

Heavenly Blue Morning Glory (looks nice, but i might take it off the list)

Opium Poppy (not sure which kind or kinds yet)

Wormwood (my mom wont like it since its ugly, sorry :frown: but i still wanna grow it to test out its effects)

Sinicuichi

Syrian Rue

There might be more to add later since there were other plants I wanted to grow but BB doesn't sell seeds for them.
