I just went down and got the rest of the pods  I now have about 50 of them.

your right they were growing out of someones garden  as I said before my friend and I were heading downtown and these caught my eye. My friend pulled over and I picked as many as I could. Ive been studying what opium poppies look like so when I saw them I pretty much knew they were good kind

How do I make poppie tea, do I need to dry them first? and how many pods do I use for one dose?

I'd just dry them and find your dose from there. Just for the future, you can tell Oriental Poppies from Opium Poppies by the litte hairs orientals have all over their stem and leaves.

"Cut the pods in half, scrape the seeds out with a sharp knife and put the pod halves in a tray in the oven. It will take several hours at about 100 deg C to dry them. I've done this, it works great"

is that the correct way to dry them?

I would really like to do a dose tonight but Im worried what will happen if I take to much. What does happens if you take to much?

sorry about all these annoying questions, I swear this is the last one:)

"""I tell you what. I put 32oz of grapefruit juice in the blender with six pods. I cut the stems off, but that was it. After blending real well, I drank it in 12oz increments, 1 hour apart until it was gone. Did this to make sure I wasn't getting too much of the goodies"""

I found that recipe on poppies .org, does it sound good, should i try it? six pods does seem like quite a bit

You should be fine with 4 pods.
I usually do it by weight, 5g of powdered dried pod (no seeds or stem) gets me nicely high.
How does it taste? Pretty bad huh
