cake is fruiting! optimum temperature?

Hi I have a question regarding a fruiting cake of P. Cubensis B+


What temperature should I have the room at? Thnx

Not only does it grow easily indoors,it has been seen the B+ fruit outdoors several times in a wide range of temps and substrates. Several times one winter, night time low of 45F, day high of 60F, the B+ just flourished. Spring/summer, low of 75F, high of 90F, the B+ once again fruited beautifully

so yeah you should have it at room temp,B+ is by far the most versatile cubensis you should have any trouble with it,it is very forgiving

Mm that sounds great! Thanks, That's pretty much the temperature the bathroom's at.

I got them on a high shelf, behind some things. Trying to keep the light away, is that right?

Why keep the light away? The light helps the shrooms know in which direction to grow, pretend it is the sun, on 12 hours then off 12 hours, they are photosensitive. Light is a good thing as long as it is above them, it keeps your shrooms from growing in all weird directions.

I hate to sound like an ass, but read the FAQ's, all this stuff is in there, there is a lot you could learn from them...

You have to have light (pretty much) to get shrooms to frit, unless you are doing weird invitro primordation or shit like that. 9Anno, you just correct my word if it's really primordiation). They should be ok at most temps though.

well if he/she is looking to colonize then he/she don't want light at it just yet,cuz if he/she gives it light that tells the myceium to start to grow pins (primordium)when it isn't 100% colonized.

you could leave it in the jar and it will fruit for all that matter. But if you want more, larger fruits ...I suggest dunking, injecting, cold shocking, then introduce to light and fan regularly.My iguana fans 2-3 time and hour.He leaves the cake inside its original jar, removes tape, fills with cold tap water, and soaks in the fridge for 24hrs. As for fruiting temp my iguana likes 72*f-78*f.
