Hello, im new to the site as well as hunting for mushrooms. I've been reading this site the past couple of days and picked up a book at my library, "Edible and poisonous mushrooms of the world" . I have been interested in trying some for quite some time now. I've been noticing alot of mushrooms where they dump the horse poo out in the woods from the pastures behind my house. Sometimes when I go out there I see different kinds. So yesterday I took a couple pics of them out in habitat and this morning went and snagged some for more detailed pics and spore print. In the first two pics those were out there yesterday but were not when I came back this morning. So that's all I have of them. Then the 3rd 4th and 5th pic are of the same. 1-2cm stem, light brown gills. The spore print was brown too but couldn't get a good pic. The last three pics are of another kind thicker stem about 3cmthe light brown gills, brown spore print. I got a good pic of its print. On both sets no noticeable bruising. Im on the very east coast of NC like minutes from the beach.

I'm assuming these are not edible or what im looking for. But would like some help ID'ing them possibly. Either way this has sparked my interest to go on hunts even deeper into the woods now. And to expand my knowledge on mushrooms.

Bolbitius species. Maybe near B. coprophilus given the pink tones
Cool find!

The whitish tent-looking ones in your 4th photo look like a Conocybe species.

Dude cool finds. They're not active or edible though sorry to disappoint you. Even if you're not very familiar with the physical features, the spore print should automatically tell you it's not a Psilocybe species.

Cool. Looks like more research n more hunting is up ahead of me then.
I had gone back out again today after posting those pics. There's so many mushrooms around here. Some of them were pretty cool looking. Check them out. I like the white ones on the tree they were huge. None of them looked like actives so I just left them.

The last one was real strange looking. All purple except cap was brown, no fins kinda just flat and dark brown. Been looking at them vs pics in my book trying to familiarize myself with them all. Possibly going on some nature walks/hunt in the morning to see what else is out there.

Can't tell what the first or last one are by the pics. The second looks like an oyster but the stalk seems pretty long which is kinda throwing me off.
