Yes; just tell the person they can make themselves happy just by thinking about it, and put some tripping music or a tripping movie on or something.
Be sure to tell them it will all be over, but give them something to entertain them; this is important; and make sure it's easy to watch while tripping (or listen to.)

If smoeone is having a bad time, its all about set and setting. Try and change the mind set or the location that your in. A place where the person feels secure is the best.
If its needed you can use benzos's to help bring you down such as xanax and valium. .25-1mg of xanax is prolly enough.

stuff that is smooth happy and upbeat. Reassurance that nothing is permament and the trip will subside every time.
Perma crazy fear is the biggest one that gets me when im very high on psychadelics.

percocet? I dont know if opiates are gonna help. Give him some vitamins and tell him these will help even tho they probably wont, its all in the head.

Are you sure? He has tripped a lot before & I don't really understand why it is so bad this time. I don't know if tricking him will work!

Don't try to trick him. If it were to fail it could be desasterous! Go for a walk somewhere quiet and smoke a bowl. Playing a game of catch can work as it requires concentration and will distract him. Plus it look cool if you find the right thing.

try and do something that he cant ignore or shrug off to think about his bad thoughts. something so funny or interesting that he becomes amazed and obsessed with it instead of the bad stuff. for me watching the cartoon sponge bob takes aways any thought that could lead to bad things. its so damn funny and trippy i cant do nothin but stare and laugh.

the key to stopping a bad trip is to stop your bad trip.. I don't know how else to explain it lol - its about realizing that you're wasting your trip on stupid crap..

always have a bottle of NIACINAMIDE (a non-flushing form of vitamin B3) on hand --- 250 mg can most def tone things down to a managable level...

The source of the bad trip is your own mind. Your defense mechanisms you've attached to specific phenomena you experience in your sober state. Fear and panic are simply emotions, mental reactions to perceptions...if you learn to just not attach negative values to your experiences (sober or tripping) you won't have negative reactions.
It IS that simple...only your own doubts and fears make it difficult.
Sure, it can be overwhelming...but once you realize what's happening, and can step outside of it and view it for what it is, it's over...just like that.

If he's feeling ill, and feels like shit, just tell him to go lock the door in his bathroom, and let it all out. You always feel much better after you puke, ALWAYS. If he isn't content with the idea of puking, tell him to go into the forest, and have a nice walk. If he doesn't want to leave, tell him to go watch cartoons, look at some porn, or anything that amuses him. Also talk to him about something he's interested in.
e.g.
If he's into cars, ask him how much a '94 twin turbo supra would cost, and how much it would cost to do it up, like body kits, clutch, flywheel, all that stuff. As soon as he explains it fully, go onto something else, like "What about a '67 mustang?"
If you can keep him happy or entertained with something he likes, he'll forget about feeling like shit, and start enjoying his trip again.
