One of my buddies has the first iPod that apple came out with. It still works without a problem.
My mom has the first iPhone that came out, and it works great.
I have a 2008 Mac Book Pro, that I love. The battery still lasts like 8 hours.
I love my iPod touch too.
And my iPhone 4s is pretty ballin'
My wife loves her iPad, and watches netflix on it a lot.
We are an apple family fo sho.

lol this guy is seriously whining about MobileMe, I wasn't aware anyone used that. And he writes "OS X" like it's OS/2.
I like Apple but I don't agree with every decision they make. It's good to appreciate all kinds of technology, blind fanboyism is retarded no matter which side you're on. But Apple is up to some especially fruity stuff these days, like making a laptop with soldered in RAM and 15" screen with 2880x1800 resolution. I think it's an odd machine. Of course people are still in a frenzy, tripping over themselves saying "TAKE MY MONEY". Even fanboys need to take a step back, and analyze this shit sometimes.

I don't mind some apple products, but I hate their closed-source philosophy and rabid apple fanboi-ism
Oh jeez, you better have posted this from Ganoo slash Linux.

Ecstatic - it's only impossible for an upstart to dethrone a mega-corp in this fascist global economy. In a free market place the upstart wins every time the big guy gets lazy. There IS NO MEGA-CORP because competition, innovation and incentive makes it IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to get that big.
Shroomism - to be fair, a few of the best things about the iPad are its media capabilities coupled with Mac's reknown attention to multimedia in relation to PC.
Also, the screen and resolution are a lot cleaner and clearer. Makes all the difference in the world.
Finally I see buttons on the tablet PC. Was it even a touch-screen device?

badchad said: I wouldn't necessarily equate technological progress with planned obsolescence.
Planned obsolescence in the sense that they knew the iPod batteries had a so-so at best life span and refused to provide any battery replacement services. I went to the store with my daughter's iPod which cost, I believe, $400 at the time and had a dead battery. They refused to replace it and told me to buy a new one. What about all the music on it? Nope, we can't transfer it.
So I went on-line and found a place that would sell me a new battery and a little tool to open the case. It was quite a delicate job but she got her i-Pod back for about $30. Fuck Apple. In its mouth.
Damn it sucks to agree with zappa.
