To further emphasize what I said a week ago...
I have NEVER misted anything in this greenhouse. Haven't had to.
Last week I even re-hydrated flushed Cubie blocks by excessively blaring the humidifer for a day instead of dunking. I think they like that. We'll see.

this is amazing! i was looking to do something similar but bought my fans before finding this thread. i bought a 60mm 20 cfm fan. i have a 4 tier gh which i calculated at 19 cubic feet. so its rated at about 1 full excange per minute. i imagine your 120mm fan pushes a higher cfm do you know what your fan is rated at for cfm? im wondering if I need a bigger fan?

I love this setup but due to the fact that summer is over, can't find any of those greenhouses in local stores. The on-line ones look like cheap flimsy pieces of shit I wouldn't want in my house.
Too bad, 'cause I've got 7 quarts of rye knocked up w/ Portobello's, and a 300cc LC with Portobello spawn to use as a master.

I have no clue the CFM of either of my fans. They have rigged power supplies I found of the right voltage, but different amperage, so the bottom fan that blows in blows a good bit harder than the top fan blowing out.
If you have two fans, and it will exchange in a minute, then the timer mod I link in the OP should be great for you. The mushrooms can show you if they need more FAE, if so just have more exchanges per cycle.

Have you sealed off the bottom, and if so how?...if not why not? I believe I have that exact greenhouse and would like to implement this design, but am still a little worried about excess humidity harming the room, the reason for the worry is hardwood floors and the room is also our office so 2 computers reside here as well

Harbor Freight usually has them pretty cheap. I've seen them as low as $25 on there, plus they always have 20% off coupon codes available online. They definitely aren't heavy duty greenhouses, but for indoor mushroom cultivation they are more than adequate.

If you are using a coolmist humidifier that has a fresh air intake, then I think that will suffice. I have a cool mist on my bottom shelf with a small piece of flexible tubing into the intake. It runs 10 hours straight at night pulling in fresh humid air. During the day it comes on for 30 mins every 2 hours.
It definitely works for me. My martha billows from the positive air pressure from the cool mist and you can feel the jet stream of air coming out where the zippers meet.

I have this setup and it works great. Have 2 x 14 CFM fans blowing out to vent the thing and 1x 5 CFM fan blowing in for intake. These run on 50s every 40 min, using the hacked timers.
Ultrasonic comes on for 50s every 10m , once immediately after the fans go on. Very similar to the set up the OP has but I'm pretty sure I have weaker fans (mine are 60 mm low speed fans) but they seem to get the job done. Am pretty happy with the my fruiting chamber now. Great thread OP!

Hey Violet I am trying to follow your tek and I am wondering why you have your intervals set up the way you do. I thought 5-6 complete air exchanges per hour is what is considered optimal. Am I missing something here? Thanks.

They only need air exchanged when they do. It's about mycelium volume to air volume (with some other small variables). One grain cake in a huge tub won't need many air exchanges... In fact, without ANY exchanges, it might have too much air to itself to the point of drying. My greenhouse doesn't need exchanges like that because my containers don't need much air, of course not producing as much CO2, as giant bulk blocks with the same grain content. But chances are, with appropriate adjustments in treatment by the handler, bulk blocks would do fine in this setup also. I have done numerous bag blocks in it.

Hey, what do you do with the bottom of your green house? Leave it open? Did you tape some plastic sheeting to the bottom to create a completely enclosed space?
