i couuld classify you as a dick maybe - you're talking shit on an entire genre of music - quite a dick thing to do.
however, i'm not a dick. I try to enjoy ALL music. and, i thought the dead were by far the best overall at roo. the mush i ate might've helped a bit, but i'm listening to that show right now and it's just as good as i remember it. if suprnova comes back up, i'll post a link to the bittorrent so you guys can dl it.

No I'm not that is your interpertation of it. I like DJ's but to me some of them are no more than noise makers. I enjoyed Kid Koala and Z-trip but they are leagues below the Dead IMO, and I don't think the genre can reach the peaks of bands like the Dead either, personal opinion here of course.

It seemed like the DJs that played before that main acts weren't exhibiting their full potential. I know Mix Master Mike can do some amazing tricks but he was just really scratching and playing records...
The Dead were so awesome though...

Jack Johnson w/ G Love adding in, (very nice);
Ben Haper w/ Jack Johnson adding in, (nice);
I saw Neil Young (great);
Allman Brothers Band (awesome, one of the best shows I've seen in quite a while);
K. Kid, which I didn't expect to like but really enjoyed the show;
Widespread Panic w/ Warren Haynes adding in, which was very nice but the Allman's and the lack of sleep caught up with me and I cut out early, missing out on MMW and the Flaming Lips, who I wanted to see. I had been awake for almost 48 hrs at that point, though.
Warren Haynes solo, which was a nice try but I feel that his blues influence didn't quite cut the acoutstic, solo act. I really like Warren though and feel he is one of the finest guitar players in music today.
James Brown was an act I caught just because The Dead were the next act. I never really liked JB and was not impressed by his turn at the Bonnaroo experience but again, I never cared for his music so my opinion isn't really worthy in this case.
THE DEAD! were fucking off the hook. I was aided by Mushy the seeing ear dog though, but I had a throw down time and the place was liquid from the stage to the back of the field.
