In lawns , new lawns at condos, Apartments, office buildings restaurants and parks.

You just have to keep looking one after the other. eventually some rain will come and you may find some blue ringers.

they are very hard to find in the lower mainland IMO. The reason is ceder chips are used exclusively , instead of the hard wood chips cyans like to grow on. Ive serched high and low for cyans around here and the only time i found them was when we chopped down these maple trees in my backyard. The cyans started growing from the saw dust and debris left over from chopping the trees down, thats the only time I found them. Blue Ringers, liberty caps and baeos are pretty common and I find them every year without much trouble.

They have to be, everything else is coming up. I have yet to find them myself. I have went to the ubc forest a few times to look, but came up empty handed. Good luck. I hope you find the motherload.

Peace

are the blue ringers a colder weather species? It's the night before halloween, are the ringers still fruiting? I know cyans dig that shit, but from what you guys are saying and my own observations on woodchips in this city, I shouldn't be counting on them..

The question is, should I dedicate tomorrow to walking around on lawns? I sure got the time.

Cant hurt... But you could die if you eat the wrong one. So dont eat them if you dont know %110 what they are.

My bf knows of 2 fields out in abbotsford in which to hunt. As of at least a week or two ago all our friends were out picking, I was unfortunately too busy at the time. I'm guessing there's still some around but not for much longer now that it's as cold as it was today!

(Make sure to flick each shroom before picking to spread the spores and make more lovelies for the next group of seekers!)
