Scotland Conifer Hike * 1
    #16469514 - 07/02/12 09:33 AM (11 years, 7 months ago)

I just found some old pics I took while on a hike in the highlands of Scotland.
These were taken when I was a stupid idiot that didn't take gill shots. :facepalm3:
I have identified some, and some I haven't. If you know what one of the unidentified ones are, let me know.

Pholiota Squarrosa Flammans (Thanks Thinker!)

Tapinella Atrotomentosa

Macrolepoita Procera

Russula (Emetica?)

Trichaptum Abietinum

Amanita Muscaria

Now for the unknowns....

Pholiota squarrosa is more like Pholiota flammans
Unknown 2 is Amanita
3 Suillus
4 Hygrophoropsis aurantiaca
5 Tricholomopsis near rutilans, maybe a variety or different species
6 Suillus
7 Rhodocollybia like butyracea or maybe Gymnopus
8 Rhodocollybia maculata

Some nice pictures thank you for sharing

If I were to guess on Unknown 1 it'd be a young Rhodocollybia species

I was thinking young Galerina.  Maybe Galerina marginata.

Probably a species of Ganoderma. Most likely something like Ganoderma tsugae

Having lived through an existence close to nature, one accepts the small and simple things as most important in life. Sun, wind, rain and snow. The sounds birds make, smells of fresh wild flowers. Love of all kinds, from friends and family, thy self and our neighbors. Beautiful sunrises to the darkest clouds dancing above in the sky. To forgive, learn, share and express. This is the only thing a man such as myself can ask for. What comes as the result is nothing short of the core of human existence, to truly live free in body and mind.

I find Ganoderma Tsugae regularly.

This mushroom had brown gills.

Looks like the same thing, just old and not varnished anymore. I find some like that every once in a while and it confuses the hell out of me. Do you have any pictures of the pore surface?

I don't, but like I said it had gills, which rules out ganoderma.
