Mid-Maine, Mixed forest on a natural wash
    #16460975 - 06/30/12 02:48 PM (11 years, 7 months ago)

Mixed forest, mostly hemlock, little bit of swampy area near the bottom of the wash

1. I think this is a dead birch

2. Dead hemlock, buggy as all hell and pretty chewed  Ganoderma sp?

3. Sorry, I screwed up the habitat photo on this one. On a dead probably-hemlock, about four inches across. Pore surface white to off-white, turning tan-brown. Possibly the same Ganoderma sp?

Pore surface cut away to flesh

Here's what I think you have:
1. Artomyces pyxidatus
2. Fomitopsis pinicola
3. Fomitopsis pinicola
