It's been really dry here lately in Guilderland/Albany. The shrooms are dried up and its hard to tell if their magic or not, i saw one that seriously looked like a liberty cap, it had the niple and long stem and bruised, but it wus dry so it wasnt worth it. Ive also found a mushroom in a bell shape, almost like p. azuerans except a mini version, its small, newayz im just asking has anyone had any luck finding active shrooms in New York, if they have , what species? Thanks
I've picked about 1.5 dry ounces of Pan Subbs this year. The season is over however. I doubt you will find anything active until the fall. Subbs come back up then...and no, the mushy you found wasn't a liberty cap. And the one with the bell may have been a Panaeolus Sphinctrinus, which is inactive, but we can't tell w/o a pic. I'm about two hours from you. Later man, good luck.
