Computer Fans

I was wondering if anyone knows if one small or medium computer fan would be able to stir up enough circulation to clear out a fruiting chamber about 75*40 cm. Or would I need two fans, one for air-in and one for air-out, as one might use for a closet weed setup?
Thanks!

You could test it...make the unit, get it all set up...then burn something inside that makes a lot of smoke...get the chamber filled up with smoke, and turn on the fan; see how effective it is at getting the smoke out (try putting saran wrap over the top if it's not semi see-through already)

u might be able to pull it off with one fan but u still need to get the old air out. contams love old co2 buildup so this is something that must be as close to optimal as it can. I just fan with good results, but if it's automated you want u need to figure out how to get rid of the old air. Some peeps just make holes on the terrarium and stuff it with polly(not sure of name.. HIGH) so that the contams cant get in but the air can get out. same concept as your closet

Computer fans have a fair bit of power for their small size. For example in this pic the ambient throw (not to be confused with exhaust nor intake) is more than enough. In a terrarium, a single 12v style fan like this would be a gale. ...k, got the tags

Make a hole with a filter (polyfill or whatever) near the top, then use a fan to extract the CO2 from another hole on the other side near the bottom.

I had one for a while. It is the size of a CPU fan. It works great but the humidity got into it and burnt it out. It makes a horrible wheezing noise now. I need some kind of valve that blows open when it's on, but shuts when not on-- to protect from moisture.

Ok! Thanks everyone. I'll be gone for a few days, but when I come back I'll post some pictures of my terrarium as it is set up now, with one fan and one intake hole covered with some hard wool stuff I found..
Quick question if anyone is up: How often do the cheap hygrometers found at reptile shops require calibration for accurate display of humidity? I am using perlite and a fishtank heater, and my hygrometer rarely goes above 85%. Could this be a error with the meter? The FAQ got me wondering...

Sorry for this late reply, but...

I understand that you use the fan to blow fresh air into the terrarium. This works just fine, but it could be better. This is why: These fans are used to suck hot air out of the computer casing, rather than blowing cool air into it (check in a 'live' one, the flow direction is almost always indicated on the fan). This is because these fans are simply better at sucking than they are at blowing (this starts to sound a bit odd ), so it is advisable to use the fans to suck in fresh air, rather than blow spent air out of your terrarium. Of course, you still need to make sure fresh air can enter through some (filtered) ventilation holes.

why not use the fan to suck used air out of the terrarium, and just have some filtered holes for fresh air to be pulled in through
Doesn't this seem like the simplest idea?

Did I not make that quite clear in my reply with the included picture? Granted it's a pretty simple pic, but as I always learned, KIS,S. Extract means remove, which means "suck" in your terms. The blue arrows are supposed to be the air flow, see the air going out where the fan is? grrrrrrr! LOL.
