:grin:  I've always felt this way about free handouts.  I would probably still donate money to them if given the chance but.....ah wait, who am i kidding, i'd keep it all for myself, family, and friends....which is technically the same thing its just people i know/ give a shit about.

Well that's a political non-starter. I can't argue with your principle re: taxes, but what about the people in areas with no employment opportunities? The millions of single moms who can't afford daycare, etc?

So far one thing I've noticed is that "starve the citizens" bills don't generally make headway (although look out for the nazi grover norquist to change that).
