Guatemala's Attempt at legalizing Drugs
    #16062539 - 04/08/12 07:59 PM (11 years, 9 months ago)

Recently, the recently elected president from Guatemala, Otto Perez Molina, has created a solution to the extreme violence from the Narcs who rule the Central American lands. In his proposition he demands the legalization or "depersonalization" of Illegal drugs. This fascinated me for various reasons. Guatemala has always been know to be a mystical and sacred place thanks to all of the rich Mayan culture. I am a Guatemalan myself, so I found the legalization of drugs exhilaration, especially if it includes all of the psychedelics branch. Otto Perez has created a movement, but his plan will only work if it is legalized through most of the Latin American region. Now, as the United Stated Government opposes this legalization, i find it funny that even more and more countries are joining mister Perez's idea of legalization.

Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Panama are in favor of the legalization.

I would like to know what are your thoughts on this? Is it morally correct that they legalize ALL illegal drugs including Heroin and Cocaine? Could this help these third world countries rise up to compete with the world market? Could United States not want to legalize it because of "ethical" reasons?

yes i am new here. Hello

Yes, all legal. Let the buyer beware.
