This is the dumbest poll I have ever seen. That's like saying "who's more honest: white or black people?"

These are pretty good questions.
They are all equally honest and equally dishonest.
Business is the most honest.
Lawyers are most dishonest.
TV evangelists... well, they just stupid.

This isn't really a 'trick question' but this is the choice we usually get for politicians: Douchebag Lawyer, Douchebag Businessman, or Douchebag evangelical (not technically a TV Evangelist but look at super dildo like Rick Scrotorum.)

i refuse to judge someones honesty or dishonesty based on their profession. i've seen good lawyers and bad lawyers, really good businessman and bad businessman, as for tv evangelists...well i dont know what to say about that one as i have no idea what they are, but anything on the teli is never to be fully trusted.

Those terms are too broad, and none of them is intrinsically an 'honest' or 'dishonest' way to make a living. Evangelizing on TV is something I find repugnant, and it is almost always motivated by greed rather than faith, but of course it depends on the motivations of the individual and on where the money is really going.
There are tons of lawyers, and quite a lot of them are noble and upstanding people who fight for justice, equality, and human rights. Others are leeches sucking blood from the wounds of a litigious society. And most are somewhere in the gray area between these polar motivations -- like most of us, neither angels nor demons.
Businessman: this term encompasses by far the most human beings of all the three categories. We could be talking street merchants, restauranteurs, hotel owners, ebay vendors, drug dealers, bankers, et al. I assume OP is thinking of 'Wall Street types,' and I do think there is a big problem of criminality and unmitigated greed in the current culture in international banking and financial markets. It's not universally applicable, but a trend that has had serious consequences.
-------------------- “Strengthened by contemplation and study, I will not fear my passions like a coward. My body I will give to pleasures, to diversions that I’ve dreamed of, to the most daring erotic desires, to the lustful impulses of my blood, without any fear at all, for whenever I will— and I will have the will, strengthened as I’ll be with contemplation and study— at the crucial moments I’ll recover my spirit as was before: ascetic.”

That's true but this poll is meant to be Subjective. People's opinions count a lot more than the facts. Just look at elections in the US.

Why the fuck would you assume that? It isn't that hard to have written "Wall Street Banker" instead of "Businessman". Even you could have done that.

I would say the average lawyer is more honest than the average businessman. Dishonesty with lawyers is way overhyped imo. Every lawyer I have ever met was a pretty upstanding citizen. I have seen many, many shady businessmen however.

televangelist is an intrinsically dishonest profession while practicing law and business are both neutral.

That's true, it could've been a bad assumption. I made the assumption because that is the kind of "businessman" who is generally talked about in terms of dishonesty and corruption in media and in current public discourse.

When I see businessman I think someone involved in management at whatever company, or someone that starts their own business. There's nothing wrong with this at all. You can of course commit crimes as a businessman like use poisonous substitutes in milk, but on the whole, what's wrong with providing a service?
Lawyers I think are mostly motivated by self-interest and a desire to argue and win more than anything, and will on the whole lean to the people with the most $$$, but the judicial system is a necessary function of society. Over-all I'd put them as pretty neutral.
The other can go fuck themselves.

By the way, if he had said "Wall Street banker" I would have picked them first, lawyers second. The first one gets more scrutiny than anybody except medical people and the second is by definition at least 50% deceptive, though that is what they are required to do. Televangelists? Really? Does anybody give a fuck about them anymore? Outrage over televangelists is a luxury that can only be partaken of when nothing else way more important is happening. Do you know who I trust less than a used car salesman with a Ponzi scheme? Journalists.

I was about 14 and flipping through the channels and there's a rolls royce driving through the desert, the camera zooms in and then cuts to the inside of the car, you hear a man talking while you're looking at a huge diamond encrusted rolex watch, there were so many diamonds on just the band you couldnt tell if it was gold underneath, the camera pans back and you see jim baker in a pink shirt with that fancy watch and the RR on the wheel and the walnut dash
