Veils Breaking Early

I just picked my first mushroom because its veil broke a couple days ago. It was only about 2.5 inches long, and the cap hadn't even begun to flatten out. What's also weird is that the veil broke before it even had--well--an actual veil! I did a search and found that premature veil tearing is due to low FAE. This doesn't make much sense for my grow because I fan out my tub at least 3-4 times a day. I also have a ceiling fan in the same room as the tub and it's on almost the entire day. Could it be due to more than one factor? like a dry substrate or too much or not enough humidity? I just want to figure out how to adjust my tub's conditions because my second mushroom just lost its veil as well and it's about the same length.
It says I deleted the pictures, but you can still view them by zooming in.

Bawks:.....meet Abort. The grow looks beautiful. IMO....in a couple days you're gonna be rolling in mushies. Hard to say why it quit growing...some just do. It only becomes a problem if the majority do this, and as long as you fan a couple times a day and there is proper moisture in the substrate with no contams,You will be golden.

I've been told that PESA has a tendency to abort a lot on MS grows. If your not using a clone or an isolate, I'd expect to find quite a few more in the future. I haven't fruited mine yet, so I can't tell you for sure from experience.

I don't see a single abort in those pics.
Usually when they stop growing and the veils break early it's because of a moisture problem.
Too dry or too wet.
I'll guess too dry in your case.
What's your FC set up like? how's the humidity?

Premature veil tearing has nothing to due with FAE.
AFAIK there is no such thing as "premature" veil tearing. A fruit is mature if the veil breaks. Whether it becomes mature and done growing because of shitty conditions or because of genetics.
My guess here is genetics.
I don't see fuzzy feet showing lack of FAE, nor does the surface look dry showing too much FAE. Looks good man

Moisture loss would only be a problem if his fruits were small. Im assuming this is the first flush, but if it's not I would still say genetics are the issue and not lack of water since his fruits look thick and healthy

four 2 inch holes at the substrate level and then I have two 2 inch holes at the top
I've adjusted the polyfill several times because I wasn't sure if it needed more or less air. The tub gets close to a 12/12 light cycle. I turn it on when I wake up and turn it off around 9pm. I mist a couple times a day usually when I see there's little to no condensation forming on the walls or the lid.
@Wing, this is the 1st flush.
Edit: You can't see it too well in the pic, but that first mushroom had the bottom of its stem covered in spiky mycelium. None of my mushrooms have fuzzy mycelium on their bases. It's always spiky. I don't know if that makes a difference, or if that's just genetics too.
