it seems that people are grafting younger and younger peyo's. my question is, have any of you been able to leave the root system intact and burried on say a year old or less button, or are you required to make another graft with the root end. im curious if it shocks the young one too much to recover on its own in its original birth place.
graft the root stock of a year old peyote is damn near impossible if not impossible out right. The root system doesn't even really have the characteristic tap root. And hell grafting a year old peyote is also VERY hard. Lesson learned: Wait two years. Or have lots of young babies to experiment with until you get it right.
