Well as much as i want to tell everybody everything, i cant in order to protect myself and my case. I am being accused of 3 counts of Delivery/Manufacture of mushrooms. All 3 are 7 year felonies. 1 count of maintaining a drug house which was my car. That is a 2 year misdemeanor. My car was seized wrongfully and i should be getting that back fairly soon. Though i am going to sell it because it is now marked.
Im looking to do 4-6 months in county jail and 2 years probation. Though, i do not know for sure yet. My hope is to just get a assload of probation outta the situation.
I now know that i was narc'd out by a CI and i know who it is. I called that motherfucking scumbag every name i could think of. The whole time he was trying to get me to go his route and become a narc. I told the fuckstain to get bent. Im not gonna drag anyone else into my situation like he did to me.
Im just gonna keep on keeping on.

Hey easy wind. Love that tune. Yup sending good vibes your way. Don't ever roll on anyone whatever u do. Good way to get killed. Controlled buy?? Is there an "uncontrolled buy" ?? Man, if you don't have the herb anymore, they're gonna have a tough time pinning it on you. Chances are , they want you to help them get whoever you bought it from. Give THEM a call and warn em to clean shit up. P.s. never trust a cop. Fuck the police! Peace & blessings to you

Oh trust me, shit has been dealt with on my part. My house is spotless of any sort of drug past or present. This was for mushrooms not herb. Like i said, being a narc was never an option for me. I just wanna take my punishment and get it over with. The thing is, they know i am in the know with entheogenic substances. It makes me feel good inside that they are probably pissed off that they couldn't climb any higher on that ladder. My lawyer even told me he wouldn't work for me if i was a narc.
I just wanna take my punishment and get on with my life. I had plans for doing a whole summer tour next year. That is now out of the question. Im just gonna work my ass off to save up money until i go to jail.
That being said, the narc is still in trouble. He better hope he doesn't share a cellblock with me.

They caught me because a "friend" turned narc and made 3 controlled buys on me in an attempt to save his own ass. I dont wanna go into case details just because i dont want to risk my ass too much. I just want my fellow shroomerites to see what is happening to me and be careful. If it can happen to me, it can happen to you. Im just trying to look out for others here. Yes im in a shitty situation but im trying to keep a positive head and look at this in a positive manner. What else can i do ya know?

Just as a data point and because I'm curious how close were you to the person who rolled on you? I hope it wasn't very close though I guess it doesn't matter in your current situation.
I wish you the best of luck, and I hope that since you cleaned house your lawyer manages to get some of the charges dropped and a decent deal for you.

best of luck to you man. as long as you do the right thing you will always be taken care of by god, the universe, karma, whatever you believe in. sucks you had to have something like this happen but we have all had our fair share of shit to deal with.
just remember the two rules: keep your mouth shut, and never rat on your friends. unfortunately your friend wasnt aware of these rules, but glad to hear you are abiding by them.

Ill be here no matter what. Im trying to take care of this in a responsible manner. I posted my situation in a legal forum and i was told to flee the country. Fuck that. I just want to get this over with and put it behind me so i can continue to live my life. I am taking a substance abuse assessment to look good to the judge. Ive got many older folk including my employer for the past 5 years, willing to take the stand and vouch that i am a good person. I appreciate all the good luck wishes. It really does mean something to me. From the bottom of my heart, i thank you all.
I am not willing to work for the narcotics team at all. I am manning up to the plate here because the latter stops at me. I am a firm believer in Karma. I must have pissed her off somehow to get this but i do believe she will bite the narc even harder.
Thank you all

I removed your above post as I am sure you didn't want those feelings possibly being used against you later.
Quote:
I am being accused of 3 counts of Delivery/Manufacture of mushrooms. All 3 are 7 year felonies. 1 count of maintaining a drug house which was my car. That is a 2 year misdemeanor.
When I was a teen, I was charged as an adult with 3 felonies (7 years each) and 5 misdemeanors (1 year each) for a non-drug related stunt. It was the first time I had been in trouble with the law and I had a good lawyer. I ended up with a three year suspended sentence, no probation, no community service, and no fine. After three years without getting in trouble I was able to expunge my record.

It was a long time ago, back before the justice system turned into a money making machine for the government. I was a "good kid" that was college bound, had a part time job (in a library), had (on my own) several hundred hours of volunteer community service (for the Red Cross), etc... and it was a first offense. The lawyer was a prosecutor that had turned to private practice. It wasn't cheap, but it cost less than a DUI at the time. Basically, they wanted to scare me straight without ruining my life. It pretty much worked.

Not sure if you can see the vets forum (think that is where they all are) but search for my responses to Vandago's posts when he was in trouble. Most of the advice applies here.
I don't know anything about MI laws and definitely not about the judicial system in your area so I can can't comment too much on what you may or may not get in the end.
It is entirely possible for you to get probation out of it but you HAVE to work your ass off to get it. It really comes down to what you are willing to put up with. Some people prefer to plead out to the least amount of jail time they can get without probation on top of that so it is over and done with, a combination of the 2 is most common and involves the least work on your part, and the third option is to work towards pure probation but that usually means a hefty amount of time on the shelf if you mess up and a lot of time, work, effort, on your part.
If you want any chance of getting probation out of this here is what you are going to need to do:
1) Talk to your lawyer, either private or court appointed and let him know your plan. He knows the local juduciary better than you or anyone on here and will know if it is possible.
2) Push the case out as long as humanly possible and push the sentencing out further after that. Have your lawyer talk to the prosecutor and tell them about everything you are doing to better yourself and ask for more time. I pushed my case out almost a year and it saved my ass.
3) Get clean and stay clean. No pot or anything that will show up on a drug test. Find a place in your area that will let you take certified drug tests (drug rehab & bail bonds are the most common places). Take at least 1 drug test on your own at least every 2-3 months, this doesn't include randoms given by the court. Have your attorney save the results showing you are clean.
4) Go to drug counseling. I don't care if you need it, go to it. Preferably something verifiable, not sure if NA will give you documentation that you went since it is anon. Have your attorney save any records. Make sure to "come to a realization that drugs are bad" and that you need to straighten your life out.
5) Get and keep a steady job. Try not to switch jobs if possible and definitely don't get fired. Have your attorney copy your paystubs so there is record of your working x number of hours a week.
6) Take some classes. Doesn't really matter what. Community college, vocational school, any type of certification class (computer, electronic, welding, food safety certification, anything). "Bettering" your life looks amazing to a judge. Even if you don't keep with it after the fact keep it up while your case is going on.
7) Break off ties with any "bad elements" that you may have, at least no ties that can be traced to you. Don't risk going to a drug dealers house even if it is just to hang out. In small towns it may be easy for them to have that under surveillence or have a CI at the house doing a buy when you walk in. I'd avoid using your cell phone to call any of them either. These steps are probably unnecessary but better safe than sorry until its over.
8) When you go into court have everything you are going to say thought out in advance. Wear AT LEAST a shirt and tie if not a suit or blazer. May seem stupid but judges respect that. Speak with proper grammer, keep correct posture, be clean shaven (or well trimmed), and look presentable even if you think it makes you look like a douchebag. Its all about appearances.
9) Have your attorney work out a deal with the prosecutor that gives you the best shot at getting probation. In Ohio 1st and 2nd degree felonies are mandatory jail time, 3rd is neither assumed jail or assumed probation, 4th and 5th are presumed probation. Also in Ohio they have a "pre-sentence investigation" and I would imagine that in MI they have something similar. MAKE SURE YOU GET THAT! That is the MOST IMPORTANT part. That lets you cut a deal for pleading guilty to the charge with the prosecutor but leaves sentencing up to the judge after the court investigates how much you have changed or bettered your life, etc. If you do all the shit above and get a PSI, give them all the info you have about everything you've done, give them a nice speech about how much you've changed because of this, and I would almost guarantee probation.
Its really all up to you.
Good luck.

Like I said before, had 2 class 4 felonies and a class 3 and i just got 2 years prob but got out on good behavior in 18 and some community service and they have been expunged. I spent 3500 and was in court twice. My lawyer was very generous and had alot of money from other cases of mine. In illinois we have a special type of probation through drug court called 1410/710 prob. Not sure if there is something similar where you are at. As always- dont rat, be honest to your lawyer( they dont like suprises in court) and keep clean no matter how hard it is til youve finished all of your requirements for court. The drug eval is a good move. And participate in rehab( if they make you go) they report to the court and builds on your character for the judge.

I had a 1st degree felony that was VERY close to hitting MDO (major drug offender) status here in Ohio. Was also under investigation after the arrest for several more offenses. I did pay a nice chunk for my attorney and the search they did after the arrest to get me investigated on the other charges was "iffy" so they agreed not to charge the others as long as I didn't fuck up anything that court made me do. Managed to get off with 3 years probabtion, got that kicked after I had done 2.
