First (Anemic) CotW of the season! (UK)

Went for a walk with a new freind yesterday - we had a vague motivation to keep an eye out for CotW, and while we were chatting about the current ills in the world, we spotted a gorgeous barn to check out, and on the way to it there was a huge old rotting Oak with some whiteish looking fungus on it... I thought "No...can't be" ... I got closer and lo-and-behold a HUGE, no 3 HUGE CotW's trooping up the rotting limbs and bole. I hastily took a couple of pics, but was so impressed that I'd found so much so early in the season that I failed to get a good selection of pics...
The local sheep/deer must've nibbled some of this:

But there was still alot of flesh to be harvested - took my hoodie off and filled it while still leaving loads on the wood and a few more babies. Gonna go back and check this bugger in a couple of weeks. Along with better pics!

We split the haul between the two of us and handed some out to mates, I had me a lovley CotW noodle dish, and bagged up 3 large bags for the freezer. Pies, stews and other slow cooked goodness to come!!
On a none-chickeny note, how are you all? s'been a while, yo!

Boobs.
<ahem>
Sorry, mushroom T-Shirt...
<ahem ahem>
Yea, they is tasty buggers ('spesh the shelf-tips), but whenever I saute them they just eat up a the moisture, and dry out somewhat. Slow-cooked-stewness might be the way for the rest of the stash.
I know where there are a few more which might be fruting, gotta get me out to the woods before they're gone!!
