Hey guys - first time post but have used this site for years. Have moved to a different city, used to find subs all over the place but they don't appear as prolific further south.
Found these today, can't find anything similar on here or anywhere else on the internet, was hoping for some help?

I found this little island of subs, amongst many more, that I will attempt to grow in my garden. The island is completely solid with mycelium so it should be a good starting culture. I intend to surround and cover with fresh woodchips (after harvest!)

Those are going to start to blacken and rot, transplants don't work well with fruited mushrooms (it seems to upset them).

The mushrooms have been harvested, it is the mycelium that will keep growing into added wood chips. Probably won't fruit for a season or two but that's all good.

id suggest adding fresh stem butts on occassion and covering the top with plastic or mesh and spraying with water regularly...maybe even leave it in the fridge for a night and then leave in the shade somewhere...you could also do with some newspaper in the bottom of your box "steralised"

It's cool when Psilocybe subaeruginosa clump like this and start to get really wavy edges like Psilocybe cyanescens. There are 10 Mushrooms in this clump!
Sorry about the average quality shots.

inski said: Guys, please observe rule #5 5. Do not make threads or posts discussing or reporting the weather. This includes complaining about the weather, asking if the current weather is "good for shrooms", or how long to wait after rain fall to go hunting. As a general rule of thumb, if it has rained within the last 1-10 days, and the temperatures are correct for the type of mushroom you're looking for, and the time of year is correct then it is very likely that the mushroom you are looking for is growing.

I will refer to this as P. aureoalbescens in reverence to Inski who coined the name of this beautiful mushroom.
Inski - thank you for identifying this for me last night. Your expertise is very much appreciated!
Found in greater Wellington region.
Two sets of photos - first when found and mushrooms quite dry, second lot after being in contact with damp paper for several hours.

....and on the way to work today, I decided to stop at a promising looking place that I have never visited before.
Unfortunately I didn't have the camera with me at the time, to show them in situ, but they were on woodchip interestingly enough - and in a big clump. Have seen similar photos and wondered how that happens. They are in beautiful condition.

Not sure if this is the right place for this but im sure alot of members are interested.
Dosed 4x Aucklandii in a tea with the mrs
Was a very fast racing come-up, extremely intensive for a short while, strong open eye visuals from 25-35 minutes in, walking difficult/drunken, we watched Lord of the rings : The twin towers, was an absolutely epic experience. Very very strong body sensations from these at times, eating was very difficult. A heavy dose from 4 has me concluding these are ridiculously potent and a dose of 7+ would be considered too strong for most.

This morning I was super optimistic I would find Aucklandii. Turns out ended up in the wrong forest so no luck . I did however find a metric crap-ton of P. aureoalbescens (if inski doesn't want them callled inskii i'll respect that). Subs were present in the same enviroment but suprisingly the aureoalbescens outnumbered them drastically, these thangs are everywhere!
