Hello friends! Im hoping for a little help from the masters here at shroomery. So basically here is my problem...
I have me a clear plastic tube filled with 2 inch of soaked perlite as well as an air stone in the perlite and two 1 inch holes stuffed with polyfill to help with airflow as well as a cool mist humidifier. I cant get my humidity past 45% and my temperature keeps reaching 80-84 degrees I have a A/C on constantly at 75 degrees and it is literally 8 inches away. I've developed only a few pins from both cakes and the pins growing really slow. I can see a small layer of stoma on one corner of the tray. Im not sure what im doing wrong please help.
Thank you everyone for your time!

not exactly sure what tek you're following but Ive never seen a setup like that. your temps are fine and if you see pins everything is doing fine. I would look into a simple SGFC you got too much going on there, it's not supposed to be the complicated.

Obviously with a setup like that you're at 100% humidity and the victim of another made in china 'hygrometer' designed and sold for no other reason than to separate you from your money.
However, humidity is secondary. After full colonization of the substrate, fresh air exchange is the number one pinning trigger, followed by bright light in the 6500K range. You're never going to get proper fresh air exchange with a fish pump running to a bubbler stone. In addition, standing water is a known breeding ground for contaminants.
I suggest a shotgun terrarium, built per the tek, and toss out that crappy hygrometer you wasted money on.
When you build your shotgun terrarium, place it on the opposite side of the room from the AC unit. You don't want fans blowing in the room, especially on the terrarium. RR
