Hi guys,
Hope I'm posting in the right place. I have some B+ doing there thing in the jars right now they are at almost 100% coverage. But what I need help with is my fruiting chamber set up.
I have a large storage box with a double air pump fed through the lid with 2 x 12 inch air stones under some gravel, I was going to fill the container with water an inch bellow the top of the gravel and sit my cakes on some tinfoil. Is there anything else I need to do in terms of heat light or anything else you can think of?
Any help would be gratefully received.
Thanks

Welcome to the boards.
The first thing to learn though is the hard and fast rule around here that you don't bump your own thread for at least 24 hours. It's not fair for other members to get their threads bumped down the list because you're impatient. Thanks for observing this in the future.
You have found an old, outdated method which isn't in use much any more because it leads to poor pinning performance and a high rate of contamination due to standing water. It used to be thought that humidity was everything, but we now know that is only part of the solution. Much more important is massive amounts of constant fresh air exchange, which you can't get with a fish tank pump. I suggest building a shotgun terrarium for your mushrooms which will deliver far better performance without mechanical means. RR

Get rid of the electrical stuff and drill it into an SGFC. Your cakes will love you.

Ya.. As has already been stated just build a SGFC. Return those airstones (hopefully you saved your receipt) and buy something useful (Preferably RR's "Let's Grow Mushrooms!" digital download. ).

RR= RogerRabbit, he posted a little bit further up. As notahacker said, check RogerRabbit's signature in his post. The digital download is 10$ and is 1000$ worth of information. You can read all you want, but there's nothing like seeing someone do it. He holds your hand through basically everything you need to know. Dollar for dollar, it's the most beneficial thing you can buy for your mushrooms.
