can you substitute Brown Rice Flour with Rye or Soy Flour? i can't seem to find Brown Rice Flour any where near me, but KROGER has RYE and Soy.

I dunno...Just get brown rice and put it in a coffee grinder. It will save you money in the long run and it seems to work beter than store bought flour anyways.

Rye is fine.

....and has more 'roughage' ie nutrients than BRF....IMO :wink:

I found that nearly every kind of flour works, as long as it isn't plain white flour (though maybe even that would work, but don't count on it). My rule of thumb is: are there enough tiny brown and black bits in it (to quote ruskifile: enough 'roughage')? Then it's probably ok. If you're unsure, buy several kinds of flour and do some test batches with them. You'll find out what works best for you.
