Wow this place sux...there's nothing out here, and its freakin impossible to get your hands on some "legal" mushrooms. Anyone from so cal?

southern california is not the best of places for active shrooms. not much going on there except for Pan. subbs probably and some stray PNW species if your lucky.

im sure however that you can find plenty of other mushrooms growing in the area. have a look around a local mushroomy forest or state park. im sure you'll find plenty of fungi after decent rains with humidity and nice temps. good luck.

yeah dude, if you want to get your hands on some active mushrooms, your best bet would probably be to grow them.

like magma said, though, there are still plenty of other wild mushrooms species you could find around your area.  i find mushroom hunting to be an extremely enjoyable hobby...

go out and give it a try sometime... it can really be exciting and fun! :smile:

im from so cal. i havent found any actives yet either. but ive heard that escondido and del mar have some good fields...
