    #1638320 - 06/16/03 10:06 PM (14 years, 7 months ago)

Went by lowes earlier today, they had one pachanoi but had a bunch of cacti labeled just as trichocereus, and also had a bunch labeled trichocereus grandiflorous. Searched on google but it comes up with no results. Any clues guys? any help is much appreciated. Thanks

Shulgin said he found DMT in it, but was never able to reproduce his results. Apparently there was some confusion between a red-flowered variety and a yellow-flowered (the red-flowered variety being what he claimed to have found the DMT in).

A white-flowered variety is said to contain mescaline according to http://cactus-mall.com/mss/#59

I'd still take it with a grain of salt -- the most commonly used Trichs' (pach, peru, scop, bridgesii, macrogonus) all look fairly similar to one another...grandiflorus doesn't really fit the morphology, not that that means much neccesarily...

Also, there seems to be quite a bit of taxonomic confusion with this plant...read the link above.
