I'm new to hunting but trying to get out and a bit this winter and start finding subs in my area. This guide is very useful, thanks for taking the time to put all the information and photos together! Peace.

Great thread mate, I cant believe this is the first time I've seen it.

FYI the tree you have as Eucalyptus leucoxylon is the Victorian E. leucoxylon subsp. connata by the looks.

Hello I Live In South Australia And Have Mushrooms Growing On A Oval nearby With Quick eye science I've determined it may possibly be a Magic Mushroom. The Oval Is Used By Locals For Soccer And Is Regularly Mowed And New Mushrooms appear everyday I'll post pics tomorrow Of the mushrooms and every detail I can to help determine if its Magical Or Not :)

Any luck with those? If so would be super appreciative to find out which oval so I can grab some for myself.

Doesn’t p subs have a deadly lookalike?  To me that rules it out as anything that should ever be messed with by beginners

Hi Guys,

Awesome thread that helped me go picking in the Adelaide Hills today. I’ve taken photos of three varieties I came across that look like psilocybe subaerunginosa.

I think variety 2 are subs but wanted to check with you guys first. Can anyone help me confirm identities please.

Thank you, G

No dice mate not subs do not consume.

Make an ID request in the identification forum for the correct species.

Agreed, they look like cortinarius and galerina or laccaria laccata  (need a TI to be sure). Dont know about the first photo though.
