Air exchange for casings...?

Hi, I just cased some PF cakes in ice-cream containers. Instead of using an aluminium foil or cling-wrap lid, I just snapped the ice-cream container lids back on.

There are no holes poked in them, but I'm doubting that the snap-on lids are reallly air-tight.

Is this suitable for air-exchange while the mycelium is recovering and regrowing?

When it starts poking thru the top casing layer, I plan to just remove the lids completey.

should be fine...if the lid is see through, then i suggest keeping it in the drk

Thanks duder. Lids are not see thro, but it's kept in the dark anyway. :smile:
