I have never seen a field with (active) mushrooms in it!

I live in Greenville SC.

i have searched far and wide. Dairy farms....meat farms...horse farms...every fucking farm i see. I hvae yet to see any type of farms with an active shrooms in it.

i even drove to charlestown at 4 in the morning after a rain so i would get there in time and saw hundreds of shrooms in the farms but no active ones.

wtf is my problem.....arent most fields supposed to have them?

yea that does suck and i can relate. what exact species are you looking for? Cubes and subbs i suppose?

to answer your question most fields do NOT have active shrooms. although i have had most of my experience with cop cyans and cubes, a lot of fields dont have ANYTHING growing in them, although conditions look favorable. the bad news is that cubes arent very abundant in SC, especially towards the farther north until they get very rare up there. i would say finding nonactives is a good sign, but i suggest looking in the same fields when the nonactives arent so abundant and perhaps youll find some actives then.

subbs in composts mixed with horse manure and areas like that should be fairly abundant in SC. anyway keep trying and i bet youll find something. you can always go west a few hundred miles for some weilis

thats strange, I've actually heard that Greenville is goood for cubes during the summer months. Seen reports of people picking them by the pounds in SC.

Which non-actives have you been finding? Antillarum I'm sure but what else..?
