    #1632715 - 06/14/03 04:02 AM (20 years, 9 months ago)

High todayoon our way back from SOMEWHERE I spotted alotta poppies and told my man  to stop. They were the normal wild poppies Ive seen before. But now I knew what to search for - I remember some years a go I collected the flowers and the pistils and driend and smoked them with friends lolz; So I found some pods - they were little. I took a mature one and saved it for the seeds. I wish I had my camera there. So heres a pic of it

Ivre read in a book wild OPium poppies are rarely find in Bulgaria, but they exist    Hehe Dunno why I posted that

today I travelled again and I saw a red poppie flower. I went to it and saw that from one poppie has like 4 or 5 heads ( flowers, pods ) and its stem was hairy. Do you think may be opium ?

Pod looks like Papaver Rhoeas to me.
Contains no opium or any other alkaloids of importance.
However, some claim it may have some effect.
I nce made a tea with it, added sugar (taste) and lemon (thought it was somniferum and hoped to transform some morphine ) and it gave me a feeling of sleepiness + a night full of happy dreams.
Could be placebo-effect tho.

Another question, i recently found A LOT of californian poppies (the golden one's)
Could i use them for tea and have some pleasant nights?
I heard they contain protopine but nor Lycaeum nor Erowid do say much about californian poppies.
