There's lots of cancer research being centered around various mushrooms...and, interestingly, not just consumables.
Here's some interesting links for you:

There is a whole natural regimen that really complements the multiple mycos you should be using. There is a tea commercially called "Essiac" but also avilable from a quality apothecary supplier as "HHA 4-Herb" which is very im portant in natural cancer therapy or supportive care. Check out www.herbalhealer.com for the above and good information. I also have a good textbook type catalog that is now out of print I can mail you if you send me a self addressed stamped BIG envelope. I'm a rural GP and mycos are a big part of my general care but this is serious and needs a doctor watching or you having access to the same information and supplements. Best wishes! Let me know if I can help.... ps - here's another one that may be helpful tp you, I haven't used it enough yet to know what all is there but http://freebooks4doctors.com/

This is red reshi(ganoderma tsugae). It, and its hardwood cousin reshi(G. lucidum) ,have strong anti-tumor/cancer properties. These red reshi were harvested in one afternoon June 14 2003

There was an artcle I read about Agaricus Blazzeii, that I though said it was the most potent ant-carcinogen,I may be wrong ,they sell kits on the fungi-perfecti site.

I have also heard several times about these properties of Agaricus blazei. It's a brazilian mushroom, so every once in a while the media here talks about it. I've seen some people on TV a few weeks ago saying that it greatly improved their lives when they were on chemotherapy. Don't have any online references in english though.

kreation1 , i think you are referring to kombucha tea made from the kombuchafungus that thrives in sugared tea here's one link to a kombucha site http://w3.trib.com/~kombu/ from what i read in their labresults it looks more promising in the battle against hiv than against cancer
