Rush is like the best band ever. I don't know if we'll ever see a more talented combination of a guitarist, bassist, and drummer ever. (I think Red Hot Chili Peppers and Tool give them a challenge on that, but fall short)
(Yes I know we were talking about Limbaugh. I don't care.)

You know Hendrix was going to work with Emerson,Lake, and Palmer? It's a shame, who knows what kind of crazy shit they would have come up with.

Hendrix with Emerson Lake and Palmer?
MAN! That would have been something to listen to for sure. I saw ELP live many times in the Seventies -- always a superlative show.

They did put on a great show.
Saw them several times myself.
Did you see the tour when they did "Fanfare" and "Pirates"?
At the Madison Square Gardens show they had a seventy piece orchestra and choir play along. It was amazing. Emersons keyboards rising through the stage as he played, the revolving drum stage and the cannons...... yee-ha.

I believe you are referring to tour they did with the London Symphony Orchestra, and yes, I saw it, in Montreal. They lost a LOT of money on that tour, but the fans loved it. A truly impressive show.
My friends and I went to the Olympic Stadium in Montreal, glommed down some extremely righteous LSD, and had a fantastic time. Those were the days when some varieties of blotter (like the famous Green Bullfrog) could actually be split among up to four people and everyone would still get off like Jack the Bear -- rather than like some of the dreck in the Eighties and Nineties where you had to eat five to ten of them to catch a decent buzz. However, since it was ELP, there was no blotter-splitting involved. A blotter apiece (and I can't for the life of me remember what it was -- probably Green Bullfrog or Strawberry Fields, though) and hang on!
Good times, good times.

You guys are old. I was under the impression that just about everybody on this page was in their 20's.
