i hope things are gonna be ok

Here's the deal.
My iguana got some B plus and one African syringe in the mail. She says she read the PF tek but she used 100 percent no preserves RYE flour instead of BRF. She also did not poke any holes in the jar lids before using the Pressure cooker, so the jars sealed up. she watched them for a week for contams. After she seen no contams, she innoculated 8 jars of B plus and 4 jars of African, using four holes to each jar. She put tape on each of the holes after innoculation. Then she put the jars back into the box they came in and closed the lid and put them in her secret spot. the spot is steady at 77-80 degrees. She says she read a butt load of teks and posts in the mush. cult. forum, but she gets conflicting data.

Now here's the questions. Is rye flour going to be ok? Should she leave the tape on the holes, and if so how long? And finally, should she leave the jars in the box or take them out? I know a bunch of you are thinking read the frigging teks, but like i said conflicting data and all. She thanks you in advance.

Rye flour should work o.k. if everything else was done properly. Tape can protect from contamination but often causes the jars to stall.

If you have a dry vermiculite barrier on top, no tape and small nail sized holes and keep it in a box and don't mess with them they should be fine. The rule is the more you mess with them the more likely they are to get contaminated.

Thanks she just told me that she had a verm layer on top, and the hole sizes were just big enough to put the needle into.
