i tend to generalize at times.

Actinomycetes This is what you want in your compost pile.My piles are full of it. Compost will turn any soil into good soil and its harder to get nutrient burn. Keeps harmful bacteria and bug larvae from getting in there. you'll get better quality nitrogen uptake. foliar spray with compost tea will help prevent diseases.
My 100 plant veggie garden had compost tilled in the soil and I haven't fertilized at all and my plants are perky looking monsters with no yellowing whatsoever.
If you have clay soil it will unlock other micronutrients as well that your plants look like they need.

i crushed the egg shells to a super fine powder. got epsom salts and threw that into the mix.
i burnt out my blender. what a waste of $40. i guess i'll have to buy a new one.
added the powder to several plants 2 of which are my trinidads.
i left the e novos alone as they seem to be just fine.
lets see what happens.
thanks everyone.

coffee bean grinders work better than a blender for stuff like that, i've burnt up 2 grinders grinding up pachanoi they aren't made for continuous use but work well to powder hard stuff like eggshells. good luck with your plants when i see yellow leaves i assume iron right away as well i didn't post because i know there are other deficiencies than iron that cause yellowing

I feel you on that bc mine doesnt exactly like me "taking over" any of the rooms with plant things. I need a greenhouse!
I havent had many problems with plants except with fruit plants. What i used just a pinch of was that orange bag of MG organic fert. It looks like worm castings but it brought back my leaves from the defiency it had(iron in blueberries). Just my 2 cents.

I like to use Dr. Earth liquid along with some seaweed extract. I find this works really well for just about all my nutritional needs. Cacti, veggies, houseplants, flowers, whatever.
