A cube isolate a fellow shroomerite worked on and gave away to the community... I don't remember the details but you can probably do a search and find it.

With the help of the Shroomery and its vast collection of knowledge and wisdom, I have successfully ran a pf tek(12 cakes) inoculated from honeywater liquid culture with average results(~60-70g's per flush wet), crumbled cakes after two flushes into pasteurized 50/50 verm and coir with about average results(one out of six trays contamed) all from one Cubensis Tasmanian spore syringe from lil' shop of spores. I wasn't really satisfied with this species and variation. What I really want is to try something completely new all together. With technically only one grow under my belt, would it be a safe idea to move onto other more difficult to cultivate mushrooms, like Ps. Tampanensis or Pan. Cyanescens?

TL;DR
Noob psychonaut wants to know if its a good idea to move up from cubensis yet?
ps. I understand this decision is mine and mine own to make(seeing as I'd be paying for it). However opinions of those more experienced than I will be greatly appreciated.

Tampanensis would be a great choice for your next species.

no contamination. it is weird though. i ate several handfuls, and on a empty stomach just to be sure...no effects whatsoever. i don't want to bash the vendor...I'm trying to work with them on the matter. they have provided flawless service up to this point. but it is extremely disappointing to go through with the whole grow process and find out they are duds. this was my first pan cam grow too.

That has nothing to do w/ the vendor... this is a potential outcome when dealing w/ MS.  B+ is a prime example b/c it happens most frequently w/ them... they're either really good or duds, hence the name B+.  This is why people do agar work to isolate for a good POTENT yielder.

QFT.

Some call them "Bogus +".

This ever entirely made sense, but it does seem to have happened.

Has anyone had any difficulty growing the PF standard classic strain? Or noticed that they are slow fruiters?

I did not find them to be particularly difficult, but they were a
bit slower than some other cubes.

They are also quite large:

Good luck,

yeah that's what i figured. spore farmer is the vendor. i just had to tell them i couldn't i.d. the mushrooms they sent me...which i couldn't...(plus the dakak beach syringe was full of same spores as the pan cam syringe...hence no dakak)but there's no way to tell them that their pan cams have no magic in the mushrooms; since they have strict policy on no feed back if your growing magic shrooms. they said they'd re-ship my order and that was over a week ago and i haven't heard from them since on the matter. i don't think i want anymore of their pan cam spores anyway. i went ahead and ordered some flying saucers...i'm looking forward to those. they sound a little challenging though. peace.

Hammond's Flying Saucers?

Those are P. azurescens.  They are nigh unto impossible to grow indoors,
but it has been done.

Good luck,

JD

Thanks a bunch. I'll order a syringe in a week when I get paid, pay for express shipping, sterilize my jars once it leaves the vendor, and knock up a lc and a couple jars once it arrives.

And to whomever asked what tl;dr means, it does indeed mean too long;didn't read.

Now its just a waiting game..

can annyone tell me if there are any significant differences between the psilocybe cubensis strains; treasure coast, PF classic (besides the appearent slow fruiting attribute) and hawaiian?
