Just transplanted it two weeks ago from being indoors for a little over a year. At first I was worried because one of the branches was dying off; but it seems to be focusing it's energy into one particular branch now.

I shouldve asked before but are hwbr supposed to look veiny like that? I ask bc at least for blueberries and such its an iron deficiency and just a lil fert(i use a lil cap of that organic mg thats in an orange bag...bc it was free ) seems tonmake the whole leaf nice and green.
Nice fence to put it along!

The veiny leafs were a lighter pigment when indoors, but have darkened since being moves outside. I would guess the pigmentation is due to a change in light rather than nutrients.

Wow, so it has really taken off in growth within the last week.
For the soil in the outdoor bed I used: 4 parts peat moss 3 parts composted horse manure 2 parts potting soil 1 part perlite And just a little blood meal
It's a slightly similar soil to what I had in the previous container, but this one uses more horse manure, less perlite, and has blood meal.
It seems to be going crazy over the acidic soil that's heavy with nitrogen. I'll take some pictures in a week so the growth will be more noticeable.

I've had to unwind my big heavenly blue morning glory off multiple fences now and it seems to not notice.
do you have to do the same when the weather gets poor there?

I"m actually helping mine grow to the fence. One of the branches got knocked off in a storm just two nights ago, so I put it back on. I figure once it starts overgrowing, I'll start making cuttings out of the parts I need to remove. I'm really hoping it flowers. The plant is almost three years old, so hopefully it has reached that point. It's just a race against time...the first frost that is. Luckily that comes pretty late in Texas, and I'll be able to tell if it has time to flower or not by then. I'm planning to make this plant quite the mother though, so if it doesn't flower, it will still have produced
I'm gonna start recording how much it's growing each day pretty soon. It's getting pretty fast.

You gonna record it's height on the fence like it was your child recording inches each year I'm just enjoying the efftcts of some jwh and that mAde me laugh a bit thinking of doing that myself. I have some morning glories I was training on my porch but it's getting really hot and the soil Dries out fast so it's trying to die.

Sorry, I haven't had the time to take some decent pictures. I figured I would give you guys an update though. It seems to really love the spot that it's in. You'll notice that a bunch of the leaves are torn up. There was a really intense hail storm that hit the other week, but it seems to not have been bothered too much.

No, I think if it flowers, it will be closer to fall. It's gonna need more time for the roots to fill the bed I put it in. I don't live in a tropical climate, but it is subtropic, and the area that it is in has a higher humidity; so I can only hope for the best. Either way, I'm going to produce cuttings soon enough so it'll have some reward.
Also, it was asked previously but I live in zone 8b.

Here's a video I took of the hail storm that it went through:
It actually did better than I thought it would.

Hooooly shit thats like golf ball sized coming down. For some reason I thought you were aussie, thought it was cool we were in same usda zone, then saw the video haha.
also the internode distance seems to be awful large. i cant remember if its mostly in shade or part sun or what. the distance seems to get smaller as it grows more after the transplant but i can't tell.

Yeah some of the hail was actually just a little smaller than baseballs. The HBWR seems to stretch at points as though to reach a niche, and then put out several dense nods.

Don't expect rapid growth until it reaches about a year old. Mine is two years old now.
They start out at a very slow crawl.

Now I have tried questioning many places and no one can agree, so when I now realize there are some Argyreia nervosa specialists here, it may be I can get an answer! I got these seeds from a reputable German dealer -they specialize in cacti, but anyway- and they was be sold as Argyreia nervosa. I do not think they look like they Argyreia nervosa I've had in the past, but it is many years ago. I think they look more like Ololiuhqui. What do you say?

I'd have to agree with you there as well. They're Rivea corymbosa seeds.

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it. There is some confusion about these seeds here in Europe. If you look at Erowid you can see that these seeds have been sold as HBWR several years so that people think it is HBWR.
