I was wondering if it was possible to use an outdoor tek in northern Nevada. If so, what would be the best to use and what time would be the best to start it?

What's the climate like? I'd think that the problem in Nevada would be too much heat in the day, too cold at night, and too little humidity. If it weren't for the temperature extremes you might be able to do a kind of mini-greenhouse thing, but with them, you're basically screwed.

The grey squirrel lives in a part of northern california where its a lot like nevada, and the cake he tossed in the ground is doing quite well. He might just let it get large, then break it up and case it, and fruit inside though, now that the contams have died off of the cake. Did I mention that its ~3-4x bigger than it was before?

if you have shrubs around a faucet, and let the faucet drip, just a little tiny bit, and the whole thing is in the shade all day, it will be fairly cool under the shrubs, and somewhat humid aswell, the grey squirrel pulled some dead grass and such from under the shrubs to cover the spot he burried the cake at, it stays moist, and cool even though three feet away the temp is 100-115 most days
