Maybe you had a contam and distributed it all over everything when you shook the jars. Maybe you damaged some of the mycelium and it bruised. Its hard to tell without a pic. Was there colonization before it started to turn blue? It sounds more like a contamination. I don't know if I helped you much. Good luck.------------------ Baldy

I'm afully sure it is not a contam. Its like a lite blue whitish. Its not slimy looking or anything like that. Plus, its over the whole sub. Its like shaking it sort of disconnected the cakes water or moisture supply into little moisture sources.

Well I cased them today and rather crude too I must add. I smelled the cakes and they were not foul smelling. I'll report any weird happenings.

some mycellia of this species will bruise quite prominently, although I have never had personal experience with bruising at this magnitude. Please do post a folow up on this, as I plan on experimenting with Eq's soon.
